Tis The Season

Tis the season and I don’t just mean the holiday season, I mean winter! Similar to my Fall Bucket List, I have a few things I definitely want to get done this winter!

Holiday Movie Watching

Everyone has their must watch holiday movies and mine happen to be Love Actually and the Holiday. I have to watch these with a glass of wine, cozy & comfy clothes and let’s not forget the tree has to be lit!

Skating

via

If you can’t beat them, join them…the “them” being winter so you might as well enjoy it!! I’ve gone ice skating at the Frog Pond almost every year since moving to Boston and it never gets old!!

Snow Activities

via

I haven’t been skiing since I was 16 and I’m deathly afraid of falling, but hopefully we’ll make it to the mountains later in the season! That’s why they invented Apres Skiing right?! One thing we do always manage to get in is sledding…we have a huge hill near our house and it’s so much fun to do a few runs down the hill!

Fanueil Hall

 via

Sure it’s a bit of a zoo during the holidays, but what place isn’t!? There are usually a bunch of sights to take in and a lot of the shops are especially festive this time of year! Side note the only Origins in the city of Boston is located in Fanueil Hall so I always go in!

Boston Pops Holiday Shows

via

We have a fantastic symphony here and during the holidays they have so many great shows, including the one I really want to see which is the Home Alone Pops and if that doesn’t workout then the regular holiday pops will be great!

Ringing in the New Year

via

What’s my favorite part about this holiday season?! Ringing in the New Year!!! We’re going to be celebrating with my cousin and his soon to be wife in New Jersey and I couldn’t be more excited!! Last year we did the at home New Years and while it was fun, we were ready for a little more excitement this year!

See In Theaters

We rarely go to the movies anymore, but sometimes there are movies that are enhanced by watching them in theaters and these two just happen to be ones I really want to see! Then when it gets really cold outside you can find me on the couch binge watchingHouse Of Cardswhen the new season comes out on February 27th!

What’s on your winter to-do list?!

P.S. I’m also over on Samantha’s blog today, stop by if you can!

There are so many things we want to do this holiday season before it slips away – our annual holiday movie pajama party and ice skating in Central Park are definitely at the top of the list!

Omg I love those movies!! They are so holiday movies–I'd even add Serendipity in there too πŸ™‚
You have some great things on your list!!
I'm definitely going to be seeing Unbroken!! I've been waiting for this movie since I read the book 2 years ago!

I am so jealous of all of your fun winter activities! Since we don't get snow I definitely don't get to go sledding or skiing but I wish I could! And we have ice skating rinks but they're usually SO small and crowded that I don't even bother. I am going to watch The Holiday soon though!

What a fun list, lady! You truly captured the winter spirit for sure. I'm not a big movie goer [since I kind of work with them] but those look like they'd be great. Although I can't see Unbroken. The book made me sick to my stomach just reading it, so I doubt I could see everything happen. GREAT READ, though!

    I need to go skating!

I have only been ice skating a couple times. At ice skating parties when I was younger and it was a disaster. I just can't lol. I am that clumsy girl that could never roller skate/blade right lol. I didn't learn to ride a bike until 3rd grade. I don;t even know if I still can. My un-athleticness carries over into so many aspects of life lol. We will be close ringing in the New Year! I live in PA. Have a great day! xo

I hope you post a ton of pictures as you sight see around Boston… you know I can't get enough! I'd love to be there are Christmas time someday! (I mean really, I want to be there all the time, HA!)

What a fun winter/holiday season bucket list! The Holiday is one of my all-time favorite movies – it just always puts me in the best mood. Funny story – I actually attempted to get my hair cut like Cameron Diaz's in the movie my sophomore year of college … needless to say, it didn't look THAT good and that's why I'm now always hesitant to cut it short! Ha! Ryan played hockey growing up, so we almost always try to get out to go skating, too!
