Weekending | Calm Before the Storm

The perfect mantra for Monday mornings!!

I think this weekend can be best summed up as the calm before the storm!! The one final relaxing weekend before the holiday rush really starts! I talked about my perfect winter night and I got just that on Friday!!

I’m a little embarrassed to say I had never seen elf before this past Friday! Now that I have that confession out of the way, I’m on board and will probably watch it again before the end of the year!!

Saturday we did as the tourists do and explored Faneuil Hall to see the huge Christmas tree! I imagine it would be a lot more beautiful at night all lit up, but we’ll take what we can get!!

I have a few restaurants in Boston that I always recommend and Figs on Charles Street tops the list!! We split the asparagus fritto and then mix and match to build our perfect pizza!! This time we went with the Bianco & Roasted Pulled Chicken…delicious!! Sure it looks like salad on a pizza, but its out of this world good!!

We were on babysitting duty Saturday night and my heart literally melted when I walked in to find Gary reading a story to my youngest niece!

I popped into Marshalls on Sunday to pick up some gift wrapping items and couldn’t resist these prints!! I opted for the “Work It” one…my glitter dreams come true!!

After a fun impromptu holiday party with friends the weekend ended with some celestial holiday tea and watching House of DVF…my new favorite show on E!

A few extras…

I also realized I forgot to share our holiday cards from Shutterfly! I’m so happy with how they turned out and even happier with the deal I got!! 50% off and free shipping – it definitely paid to be on the lookout early!!

What are weekends really made for? Testing out some fabulous beauty samples!! Can’t wait to share with you guys!

Hope you all have a wonderful start to your week and share your weekends with us!!

That quote is 100% the best quote for a Monday. Lipgloss is on and now I'm psyched! kinda ;)!

YAY! So glad you finally saw ELF! It's a classic and will become a staple for your holiday, I'm sure.

That picture from babysitting is swoon worthy, so precious, lady!

As is your card! I have it displayed proudly in our collection! Have a great day, friend!

What a great weekend! I agree, it is the calm before the storm. I have to finish up my Christmas shopping today so I can hide out next weekend LOL! Love that you and Gary went out and played tourist over the weekend! I always love doing that around here… when it's not super crazy haha! And those gold prints are amazing. Going to have to check out my Marshalls now! Happy Monday love!

Yayyy I'm glad you went with the "Work It" sign 😀

I ordered our cards super early from Shutterfly as well for the same deal, definitely worth it! I've stopped trying to do a Christmas "photo shoot" that year and just use pictures from the previous year. So much easier!

Uhm that food looks freaking delicious! I'd act shocked and appalled at the whole Elf thing, but we've seen it SO MANY TIMES that I'm kind of…tired of it? I know, please don't throw stones at me fellow commenters. Everyone was all "watch elf" to get started into the holiday spirit and I just wasn't feeling it. So I went with The Santa Clause! And it did the trick! I assure you, though, we'll watch Elf at some point this holiday season–it's one of the hubs' faves!

Isn't House of DVF addicting? I think the girls are so ridiculous, but I can't help myself since it's DVF-related. Thank goodness you finally watched Elf – girl, you were missing out! Ryan and I had that on while we decorated our tree Thursday night. 🙂 Glad you had a fun and relaxing weekend!

Sweet is that the new influenster box? Mine is on the way can't wait to get it! I love Elf so much whenever we are flipping through tv and it comes on Mark always stops and just stares at me waiting for the light moment……either that or the part of "he's an angry little elf" because that lined gets used in daily life on the reg. Looks like you had a fun weekend girl. Oh and melt your heart city seeing Gary reading nighttime stories like that!

This sounds like the best weekend!!! I am SO glad you watched Elf – it will now be your Christmas fave! I love those gold sparkle signs and I think I would have just lost it if I saw my husband reading to a little child! I can't even. haha Happy Monday Biana 🙂

Your Christmas card turned out so cute! I'm sad I'm missing christmas this year– but I'm also glad I don't have to deal with the holiday crazyness!

Sweet Marshalls finds! I wonder if mine has them out?
