Friday Favorites | Last One for June

Happy Friday everyone! Hard to believe it’s the weekend again, but this week flew by!! It’s been a busy past few days for me and as you read in my post yesterday, I’m looking forward to my sushi and a glass of my Riesling tonight!! Linking up with Amanda to share my favorites from the week!

Favorite Song||

I’m not even sure where this kid Shawn Mendes came from, but the song Stitches has been on repeat for me all week! I can’t help but bop around to it! I also can’t figure out who his voice reminds me of!

Favorite Recipe||

I know some of you are not seafood fans so you can just leave the shrimp off or add chicken/steak to this cobb salad recipe!! It looks incredibly fresh and I love the addition of goat cheese!!

Favorite New App||

Breather Space

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen that we hosted a meeting this week at one of Breather’sspaces in Boston. They tote it as a place to work or unwind. You can book the spaces in 30 minute intervals which is perfect for meetings with clients if you don’t have an office space yet or if you just need a place to work that isn’t as noisy as a Starbucks! We had a tiny issue with wifi, but it was quickly resolved and being able to enjoy the space for two uninterrupted hours was great. They are currently in 5 cities right now, but if you happen to be one of those cities use the code “BLOVEDBOSTON” for one free hour to test out the space! My business partner and I have already agreed that we’re using this space for our next client meeting!

Favorite Idea ||

So I’ve been toying with the idea of changing my hair, but I don’t want to color it before I “need” to and I’m not ready to do a drastic cut – so you’re probably thinking well that doesn’t leave you with many options…au contraire!! Enter in extensions!! Obviously I’m not using these for length but for color! What are your thoughts? I’m really drawn to the ombrรจ and love the Luxy Brand because of the hair that they use and how long the extensions last – they are not permanently put it, just clipped in. Have you ever used extensions before?

    I think your hair would look great no matter what you did to it. Anything is worth a try right? That recipe looks so yum, and I think that "office" space rental is a great idea! So glad your meeting went well too! Hope you have a great weekend girl!

    That office rental space sounds SO cool! I say go for the extensions, it's not permanent and will give you an idea on how you like color on your self. Have a great weekend!

    I have heard of teatoxing, but I can't help but wonder if it's just a fad. I think that drinking more water, exercising, and having a balanced diet is enough to improve skin – and the whole body in general.

    you had me at seth and amy!! i need to check that out. i don't like eggs so i'd leave that off the salad (does that still make it cobb then?) but will add on the shrimp!! hope you get all the sushi and wine this weekend! cheers!

    I love the idea of coloring/mixing up your hair by using extensions! I would totally consider doing that too. I so glad you have found a perfect little space for client meetings, that space looks fantastic! Such a neat idea.

    That office rental sounds like such a great place to host meetings! Extensions to add color would be cool and a great non-permanent way to do something different. I so miss my long hair, especially with this hot weather and pony tails, but I'll definitely check out those frizz free hairstyles! Have a great weekend!

    I have extensions that I use sometimes for both length and thickness since my hair is super fine. I love them but they are SO hot in the summer time! You might not have the same problem since you aren't down here with 100+ degrees and a million percent humidity. Even if you aren't using them for thickness or length they're still going to make your hair considerably thicker but it's definitely a great alternative to coloring it! And that office rental space is so cool! What a great idea! Happy weekend love!

    How neat is Breather's?! so cute! And girlfriend, I'm all about some extensions. I've used both bonded and tape-ins (recommend tape-ins if you want something permanent) but I've been using clip-ins here and there as of late for thickness! Can't wait to see what you try!

    As for the ombre extensions, I say GO FOR IT! I think that deep caramel would look amazing on you! I'm obsessed with changing up the cut of my hair and I'd never put anything chemical into it. But I made an appointment to get my once naturally curly hair permed. So nervous and excited!

    Are the extensions put in by a professional (as in, semi-permanent, you wash and style them like your own hair, etc) or do you clip them in for daily wear? My BFF got expensive extensions that were "clipped" in to her hair and when it came time to remove them, they damaged her hair so badly she had to get A PIXIE CUT. Not even joking! She spent over $500 on them but she thinks the woman who put them in didn't have enough experience with the clip/brand so she ruined her hair. You have stunning hair so I thought I'd warn you if they're the "semi-permanent" kind!
