Weekending | 4th of July Edition

Happy Monday friends!! Can we all agree that long weekends are just more fun than regular two day ones?! When weekends start on Thursday nights, it leaves more time for food, friends and feeling good!

My usual Friday workout was replaced with a sweat session on the court! I had been watching Wimbeldon all week and it felt so good to get out on the courts again! Obviously we followed up all the calories burned with a delicious mint chocolate ice cream cone!

Since we had the whole day to relax we decided to have a date night and ventured Downtown to Merchant!! We both had incredible meals and this Maine Mussels dish was actually an appetizer I had as my meal – you can see they are very generous with their portions!

After dinner we made our way to the Boston Harbor Hotel for their Summer in the City and on Friday’s they play movies. It’s such a fun way to spend your night and the best part is that it’s FREE! The movies are usually hit or miss, but this past weekend we got to see Rocky and believe it or not, it’s one of my favorite movies!

How gorgeous is the flag in the middle of the rotunda?

While the weather didn’t really cooperate during the day on the 4th, we still had a really great time with old and new friends!!

We had all the fixings for an incredible day! Delicious cupcakes, corn hole and even the pink flamingomade an appearance!

All the ladies feeling festive!!

Knowing how crazy Boston gets with the fireworks, instead of fighting the crowds Gary and I made our way to a not so secret spot, yet somehow always free of people and clear enough to see the fireworks!

Somehow Sunday came way too fast and we spent the day with friends enjoying perfect weather, playing another round of tennis and I stumbled upon a fun summer up-do while shooting another post for this week!!

And just like that another Summer weekend is in the books! Hope you all have an amazing start to your week and link up below to share your 4th of July weekends with us!!

I LOVE to play tennis!! Love the party pics too, you ladies look adorable! We are on vacation this week and were able to watch the fireworks from our deck overlooking Lake Michigan. As we watched the crowds depart we felt lucky to be where we are and not have to be in hour and a half traffic to get out. lol. Happy Monday to the sweetest B!!!!!

Looks like a most wonderful 4th of July weekend! We didn't fight crowds for fireworks either — from the top deck we could see them for miles and miles. And loving that good mood inspiration. Here's to a new week!

Watching a movie outdoors sounds like so much fun. I really need to take a look and see if things like that happen near me, they have to, so thank you for the reminder as always. It sounds like you had such a fun weekend, despite gloomy weather on the fourth. I feel like it's been that way for the last couple of ones right? Maybe next year we'll get some sun again!
