August Favorites | A Lot of Beauty & A Little Design

Happy Wednesday friends!! I totally missed that yesterday was the first day of September…but I’m so excited for this month! I have two weddings (one that we’re helping coordinate) and a trip to Florida planned!! Bring it on September!! I wanted to share some of my favorite things from last month and also wanted to let you know that I didn’t forget my goal of having one video done for the blog…it’s coming and I’m really excited for it!

August Favorites

Origins Rose Clay Mask

The newest edition to my skincare family is the Origins Original Skin Rose Clay Mask. To say I’m obsessed would be an understatement – I’ve used it a handful of times and I can already tell you it’s my favorite mask. It leaves your skin feeling very refreshed and youthful, it’s also an exfoliator so I don’t use it every day, but 1-2 times a week even though I want to use it every day! I also used up the sample of their renewal serum that my friend was raving about and I’m sold on that as well.

OZ Naturals Tinted Sunscreen Moisturizer

OZ Naturals Tinted Sunscreen Moisturizer

I have recently been rethinking a lot of the products that I use on my skin – wanting a more natural feel to them because it’s just healthier for our bodies and skin. So when the time came to test out this tinted sunscreen I was excited. I love that it provides a little color for when I don’t feel like putting any makeup on, but still want some type of coverage.

OZ Naturals Tinted Sunscreen Moisturizer

And I mean a little – there isn’t too much color to this sunscreen, but it blends smoothly and seamlessly into your skin and paired with my BB cream gives a great finish while also providing me with sun protection. There aren’t any results to speak of because that isn’t something that can be measured, but I like that it’s not oily and doesn’t leave my skin feeling heavy after it’s been applied. It’s a product that I can easily use every single day regardless of season.

Tufted Ottoman

As always, we were looking to add more functional storage into our space and this Threshold Round Tufted ottoman was the perfect purchase. It’s good for the extra seating that we sometimes need, but it’s also become a little reading nook and of course perfectly hides our weights and “gym” equipment!

Essie Brides To Be

via

I have been on a neutral nail kick with my nails – especially after all of the bright colors from summer, so I’ve been alternating Essie Brides To Be & my new favorite OPI Be There In A Prosecco. The Essie color is very sheer and I like to do three coats for a nice color.

 Cosmoholic Liquid Lipstick

Cosmoholic Liquid Lipstick

I’m a huge fan of small companies, even more so when the company happens to be local which is the case with the people behind theCosmoholic by Giuliano brand. They recently released their Liquid Lipstick line and I was so excited to try out these three shades. You can tell the color Prudish Pink has gotten a lot of use because the name has worn off from all the times I’ve applied it!! I also really love that the inside actually lights up and you can apply the liquid lipstick anywhere with the mirror on the packaging!

Cosmoholic Liquid Lipstick

Prudish Pink, Mysterious Mocha,Gold Digger

It’s a great mix between lipstick and lip gloss because you get the high quality shine of lip glosses and the color pigmentation that you get with lipsticks. There is a normal amount of stickiness just like with any gloss, but what I really found to be different was the staying power- it lasted quite a while! If you’re interested in trying any of the liquid lipsticks, you can get 25% off using the code“biana”at checkout until September 30th.

So there you have it, just a few products I loved in August! What products have you been loving lately?

*Disclosure: I was selected as part of a brand backer campaign to test out the sunscreen. I was asked to test out the lip glosses to review for the blog. As always all opinions are 100% my own.

Woohoo September and weddings. I'm partial to a September wedding, but hey that's just me ;)!

I love a good clay mask, they make my skin feel soooooo clean. And can you EVER got wrong with an Essie neutral? Nope, I don't think you can. That Ottoman is amazing, I need to get it for our workout out gear, so functional and chic. Happy Weds, love!

I love trying out new face masks so I'll have to give that one a try, thanks for the suggestion!

Lipgloss that lights up is such a cool concept! Those shades all look so pretty too! I love your new ottoman and definitely an added bonus to have the storage space. I looove Origins too and will have to check out that mask, my skin needs a little something extra lately!
