Confessions

In almost three years of blogging I’ve never done an actual confessions post so I thought why not?! The truth is, this entire year has been one of the busiest that I can remember, and I feel like I need a little brain dump to let some things out! Let’s start right nowI’m actually eating a freeze pop as I write this because it’s so hot in my apartment!

I Confess…

|| I haven’t done meal planning or been been full on grocery shopping in a month! Between weekends away, trips, our move coming up & just not wanting to deal with it – I haven’t gone! One of us will stop by Trader Joe’s on the way home or something like that and just get something for that night. It’s actually helped with snacking since we don’t have any…so at least there’s that!

|| Speaking of the move (because it seems like that’s all I HAVE talked about) I am so over our apartment looking like a warehouse. Our living room has an entire section we can’t even access because of boxes and things that come in daily! Our move is going to take 2 days…yes that’s right because in Boston you have to move out on August 31st and you can’t move into your new place until September 1st so technically if you’re moving in Boston on that day – you’re going to be homeless for like 12 hours. Thankfully we have family that wont let that happen to us! πŸ™‚

|| I’ve watched more Olympics this year than ever before and I didn’t realize how late into the night they go, but I can’t seem to turn gymnastics off. I also never realized how into swimming I can be…I legit started screaming at the TV for Michael Phelps & Katie Ledecky.

|| I’m ready for all my fall clothes! My mom sent me home with a faux leather jacketthat I can’t wait to wear…so ya I’m going to need it to cool off about 20 degrees!

|| I have a daily quote for my desk that you’re supposed to switch out for the “get up an go” you need for the day – I haven’t changed it in months!! Should really get on that…

|| I have a serious cold brew addiction. I’ve never been a coffee person, I could always say no to a latte, but cold brew is a different story!! My cousin took this to the next level and sent me his homemade cold brew, which…let me tell you is even better than the one I get at Starbucks!

|| The styled shoot that we did a couple month’s ago is going to be published and I can’t even wait to share the details with you guys!! The goal was absolutely to have this shoot get published and the fact that it’s going to happen makes me feel like we’re legit now!

|| Our Bridal Pop Up Event is this Sunday and I’m hoping that it’s a success! We are so excited about all the vendors that we have lined up….so let’s just hope all the brides come out for it! i have nightmares that people won’t show up…

|| My green thumb is more like a black thumb, but that doesn’t stop me from buying flowers almost weekly. Trader Joe’s must have some bionic roses, because the pink ones I picked up 9 days ago are still going strong!

|| I picked up some lunch on Monday ate a bite and ran into a meeting – came back the next day and totally forgot that I didn’t eat lunch? In my 29 years of life – that has NEVER happened to me! Don’t worry I more than made up for it at the Shake Shack opening that night! I think it was my subconscious knowing that I was going to eat a lot at the opening!

|| I’ve recently gotten into spin – mostly because I still don’t know how to ride a real bike. In class this Monday, I was going super fast and legitimately thought – what if the bike comes off the hinge and I fly forward into the wall…I slowed down immediately! The instructor also likes to do these weird shoulder moves to work your arms and I looked around the room to confirm that we all looked like lunatics!

|| I feel like I’m on social media overload since InstaStory came out – I can’t quite figure out if I should share the same things on snapchat and instagram or what? You know what I really want?! Someone to come up with one social media that does everything – so that we don’t have to have so many apps on our phone and oh I don’t know – interact with each other more! So guilty of having my phone connected to my hands at all times!

|| My next few months go a little something like this- move, NYC, wedding (guest), huge event for work, wedding (planning), wedding (planning), Nashville, wedding (guest)…I’m exhausted just thinking about it, but super excited for it all!

What are your confessions?

I have turned into a big Olympics fan, too. I got into swimming this year and I have definitely been cheering at the TV for everyone, especially those two! You have so much going on – I don't blame you for not going grocery shopping or meal planning. Your bridal pop up sounds SO neat! People WILL come and it WILL be a success!

Ahh I'm sure you guys are so anxious to get into your new place- it's always so hard being in the in-between limbo, but it will be so great when you finally get to move in & start getting settled. Your mom has the best taste– she always sends you the cutest things, loving that jacket! I took a spin class in college and remember it being so hard, but have been wanting to try it out again. I can't wait to hear how the pop-up goes– I know it will be amazing!

Good luck with pop event this weekend! I'm sure it will be just fabulous! And yes to watching more Olympics than ever and the cold brew addiction. I can't decide if it's a real obsession or I love it because it's so ridiculously hot! haha Also, can't believe you cannot move in the same day?! That's the craziest thing ever!

Nothing like moving being even more difficult by requiring it to be two days… that's obnoxious Boston! I can't get enough cold brew! SO good!

LOVE this post. I agree on sooooo many of these. I've been horrible about buying groceries and meal planning – if I don't make it to the grocery on Sunday, or if I have a lot of things planned for the week, it gives me a total mental block and I end up eating out for every meal. Yikes. Also YES the Olympics are killing my sleep schedule! Last night, I had every intention of getting in bed early, but I could not turn off the floor routines. Obsessed with Aly and Simone!!!

I feel overloaded with Instagram stories too, and NO you shouldn't post the same thing in both places because it's redundant and I feel like my time is wasted when I'm watching the same stuff in both places. I'm still going to keep my stories to snap and instagram for photos. Especially since insta doesn't have filters haha.
Congrats on the pop up getting published! That's huge!!
And what the what on the moving dates? You HAVE to move on the 31st and you can't move in till the 1st?? This is ALL over Boston? That's the weirdest and dumbest thing I've ever heard!

I love these posts! Yes to fall weather, although I am so far away from that I might as well not even look forward to it. I'm right there with you on cold brew! I could care less about coffee usually but cold brew is SO good. And now for my confession, I've barely watched any of the Olympics this year! Yikes. <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

What's the deal with not being able to move in until the next day?! That doesn't sound like the best logistically. Do you just pack everything into a moving truck and let it sit overnight? I've never heard of this! Also, I'm with you on all the different apps for social media. I never really got into Snapchat, but I find myself viewing Insta stories every time I'm on there, just because its there. – Dorrie @ Rt 1 US 1

lol @ usher's but more relatable. i am with you on the black thumb, i definitely have one of those. i get super into swimming, like i'm like nope i don't care and then i'm screaming and cheering at the TV lol. and yes to spin! i used to do it all the time and i was like what if i broke the bike or it like fell over, that would hurt so bad lol. i can't be bothered with instagram stories, my brain just doesn't have the room for more social media. plus, i follow way more people on instagram vs snapchat and i don't want to see some of their stories hahaha. i like snapchat as snapchat and instagram as what instagram used to be. womp womp.

I loved this post, beauty! I think it's great that you've already started packing two weeks in advance, something I wish we would've done! It would've made the whole process that much easier and less time consuming, but being the indecisive person that I am, I was unsure of a lot of things πŸ™ That's crazy that they have exact dates you have to move out and in, in Boston! Thankfully you have family to stay with, I can't imagine what the people who don't have family in the area do in between! I'm so excited for you that the pop up is approaching and I'm sure that many will come out! Even though I'm no longer a bride to be, I'd definitely stop by to support if I were in town! I LOVE a confessions post…it's fun to hear what's on people's minds. I confess that I feel so behind in blog land. I've been SO busy at work that when I come home the last thing I want to do is look at a computer. I can't seem to catch up…and I haven't read some people's blogs in weeks. It makes me super sad.

On another note, your pop up event looks SO fun. I wish I could come, haha. I'm sure it will be a huge success. I've done spin a few times and totally loved it…I LOL'd when you said about the bike flying off…that's hilarious and I totally thought it before when you get really in to it and the next minute I'm thinking I'm spinning so fast I could fly in the sky.

Third…we are planning a trip to Boston! Around September 22nd. Chuck and I need to make final plans, but if you're around that weekend and it works out somehow I would love to meet up with you!

I can't figure out what I'm supposed to post where! I absolutely love snapchat, but I have 10x more followers on Instagram… so do I just ditch snapchat and stick to instagram?! I honestly don't even want to dive into Instastory but I feel like I need to since that's where I have more followers. Ah this blogging thing feels a bit like a "game" sometimes, right?! Sheesh! I am so ready for Fall clothes as well but FL is having none of that! I find it so odd when they do upper body stuff on the bike, like does it really work? I went to a class and they were doing pushups on the ride and I was like can we just focus on the task at hand?

I never knew how into the Olympics I could be either, but this year I'm watching them constantly! The US swimmers are insane! I hope your move goes well, I know how stressful that can be! That green leather jacket is TOO cute. I am so ready for Fall! I would love to try a spinning class, sounds so fun!

This was so much fun!!!!! I have been addicted to the Olympics too, (pssst…it's only late into the night because of where it is! lol. Sometimes it is live, all depends on where the Olympics is being held and the time difference)……..my confession? Back in the day when I was cute, I was a lifeguard, I was on a swim team and I taught swimming to little ones ages 1-5. Loved it!!!!
That is soooo strange that Boston makes you move on the last day of the month and you can't move in to your new place til the 1st? What's up with that???? xoxo catchatwithcarenandcody

as a spin instructor, nothing scares me more than seeing people spinning their legs around faster than the speed of light! it's unsafe and ineffective – you always want to keep some resistance on the flywheel (plus it's a more effective workout)! the push ups on the bike are mostly ineffective – a quick set of pushups, tricep dips, and rows before or after class would do the trick!

good luck with the move! hope you settle in quickly!

My best friend just became a spin instructor and I went to one of her classes — it was so intense! I loved it though πŸ™‚ And agreed with the Olympics! I'm so engrossed this year!

Obsessed with that coat!! Also, moving in Boston sounds way too stressful. It sounds like you have so much going on, but it's awesome that you're still making time for spin. I'm getting back into blogging again, for real this time! I can't wait to read more of what you have going on!

When Instagram came up with Instastories I was like noooooo not another thing for me to catch up with. It's too much for me, I can't take being glued to my phone 24/7, it's unhealthy. At the same time, I feel like a bad blogger for not catching up with it haha. Talk about first world problems!

I'm so behind on blogging so I feel totally out of the loop! Moving?! How exciting!!! Your next few months sound insane! But I'm sure it will be a lot of fun and great memories! I totally agree about the social media thing! I honestly don't really understand the new IG stories thing… but really, it's almost like what's the point in having both IG and SC?!

Your post is adorable. You know I have a cold brew addiction too. Peak and every night I watched the Olympics, do not leave me until the end. But please do not ignore and feeds at lunch time. You need energy to continue with this blog!

I haven't done a brain dump post in a while and thought about doing one yesterday but the day got away from me. Love posts like these. It sounds like September is going to be super busy for you. Besides the move you have so many wedding-related stuff. Like you, I cannot wait to wear some cue leather jackets for Fall. πŸ˜‰
