Happy Weekend Moments

Back to Monday friends!! This weekend was nonstop, but it was so rewarding! Seeing something that you’ve been working on for the last year come to life was amazing – this weekend Jackie & I were able to see our clients enjoy their first wedding and next weekend we get to do it all over again with them! That’s right – they are having two weddings!

Here are a few things that made this weekend perfect…

It only took a month, but on Friday we were able to finally enjoy dinner and a movie at home! We’ve been on the go for a while, it was nice to just relax and watch a movie in our new place! Central Intelligence with Kevin Hart & the Rock was hilarious! Much better than expected!

Part 1 of 2 for Ylan & Tim’s wedding was on Saturday starting with the traditional Vietnamese ceremony & reception.

The ceremony took place at the bride’s parents home and you may have seen on my snapchat the groomsmen making their way up the driveway right after the fireworks were set off! Such an incredible ceremony!

After the ceremony, guests stayed and mingled while Jackie and I made our way to the reception venue! This space was completely transformed due in very large part to the team from Simplistic Charm. Liz and her team worked diligently to completely drape the space & with the uplights it was incredible!

Check out the amazing cake topper they had created especially for this wedding!

Highlights of the night included a lion dance performance by a troupe from MIT, the bride and groom making their way around to all the guests and having to do certain tasks (shots at a table, lift the bride to get a gift) at each table and a DJ that kept the dance floor packed all night! I’m actually really looking forward to next Saturday and seeing everyone dancing again!

With all the excitement of Saturday behind me, Sunday was incredibly chill. The entire week was super dreary, but I actually didn’t mind because I finally had the perfect excuse to wear my trench coat that I picked up during the Nordstrom Sale!

Capped the weekend off with a home cooked meal to ring in the Jewish New Year in our new favorite spot for dinner! It’s customary to eat an apple dipped in honey for the ultra sweet year we hope will be ahead of us! I finally added a few fall touches – thank you Target dollar spot for super cute dish towels and cheap candles!!

How was your weekend?! Link up below to share it with us!
