Weekending | Thanksgiving Edition

Restoration Hardware Boston

Happy Monday friends!! It feels good to be back after the long weekend & feels really good to be kicking the holiday season into high gear! This Thanksgiving weekend was perfectly relaxing with a lot of to-do’s marked off the list!! Here’s a few snaps of it all…

Thanksgiving Apps

Thanksgiving Apps

We celebrated Thanksgiving at my sister’s house with a lot of people! We actually had two turkey’s and for someone that isn’t that big of a turkey fan I think I realized that preparation is the most important part!! My BIL brined one of the turkey’s for more than 24 hours and then the other turkey we had was fried and wouldn’t you know – tasted just like bacon! I also ended up making these apps – verdict – devoured by all!

THE REST ||

I worked a half day on Friday, which flew by and I was on the couch devouring the first episode of the new Gilmore Girls on Netflix! I did take advantage of some of the sales – scored these OTK boots and this dress for 50% off from Ann Taylor! We had an impromptu double date with our friends at Fireplace followed by some intense games of Fibbage – have you played this yet?

I realize the crab cakes look like big globs – but trust me – they were delicious!

One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is to see the big tree in Faneuil Hall – it’s always a sight and I honestly wonder where they find trees that big – must be deep in the forest!

Boston Acorn Street

 The most photographed street in Boston – Acorn Street!

When I say that I have zero celeb juju – I mean I’ve never run into anyone famous! To see John Kerry walking home (with secret service) from the store was pretty cool! Thankfully Gary wasn’t too shy to ask if he would take a photo with me and I’m happy to report he was super nice & didn’t seem to bothered by it!

The holiday cards were stuffed, addressed & ready to be sent!

We started planning our next trip – the Pacific Coast Highway for my birthday in March! If you’ve been, have friends that have done it or have any suggestions – please let me know!

It’s weekends like these that have me ready to tackle the week ahead – well that and a little caffeine! How was your weekend? Link up below to share!

Too funny you ran into John Kerry, funnily enough I ran into him in Boston too several years ago at the Harvard Med School graduation since his daughter was in the graduating class. I had no idea he was so tall in person! Looks like your celeb juju is changing! Cheers to a fabulous week <3
