Friday Favorites

Happy Friday friends!! Today marks my first official week home alone with Sophia and I’m happy to report we both survived! Not going to lie, there was definitely a day this week that I totally lost it and was just an emotional mess – I blame sleep deprivation and hormones, but wouldn’t you know the next day I had her sleeping in my arms and I was dancing with her in her room crying happy tears! Going with the flow has never rang more true than this week! She’s also going to be one month old on Sunday – how did that happen?! I haven’t done a favorite’s post in a while and I wanted to share a few things I’m loving right now!

Jack Ryan on Amazon || You guys, Jack Ryan on Amazon Video is such a great show! We blew through 8 episodes when it premiered this past weekend. John Krasinski is definitely the right guy for the role & I’m already excited for season 2. Fun fact, it was renewed on Amazon before it even premiered because when a preview for it aired during the Super Bowl, Amazon Prime memberships went up by 400%! We absolutely loved it and it had us on the edge of our seats the entire time! Each episode is about 45 minutes and no commercials- win/win!

Book Club || Cleary I have some time to watch movies, especially since it’s been so hot here so I can’t really go outside with Sophia. That leaves some time to watch TV and movies! I knew Gary wouldn’t want to watch Book Club with me, so I was happy to get to watch it while home with the little one. It was a really cute and funny movie. Who doesn’t love Diane Keaton!? I actually thought it was a Nancy Meyers type movie – definitely a good one to watch when you just want to laugh and not think about anything.

Clara Mae Music || I watch a lot of YouTube videos while I’m feeding Sophia and stumbled upon this song from Clara Mae & Jack Miller. Can’t get it out of my head and then I proceeded to watch all her music videos. Something really fun about her voice!

New Bag || I don’t have a picture of me carrying my new purse yet, but Gary surprised me with this Louis Vuitton last week and I absolutely love it. It’s a style that is different from anything that I have and it has blush pink on the interior as well as on the handles. I also love that I can wear the bag on my shoulder or cross-body! Now I just need to get out of the house to wear it!

Recent Purchases || I’ve been doing a bit of online shopping and picked up some fun things!!

I ordered this convertible cardigan when it was 40% off for Labor Day from Nordstrom- it was on my Fall Wish List.

This pretty palette has been used a few times this week, even though it’s just my neighborhood barista that has seen my makeup look πŸ˜‚The color “wild thing” is my favorite!

I also ordered two new items from H&M that are nursing friendly – they have a great maternity section online for anyone expecting! I love that I can wear the turquoise one to work as well. This dresswill be great as it starts to cool off and I can pair it with a denim jacket.

That’s all friends! I hope we are able to have our first official outing this weekend since we haven’t really taken ourselves anywhere public in a month! Wish us luck!

I keep hear about Jack Ryan and it sounds like something we would love! Def mentioning that to Nathan this weekend. Glad you had a better day after your breakdown. The adjusting after birth to EVERYTHING (life, baby, hormones) was the absolute hardest part for me. hang in there, mama! You got this <3

Little thing we did when we first started going out with the babies, go just a little bit before regular meal times! Servers have more time and youre not as stressed if there are tears.

We are absolutely loving "Jack Ryan," too! It's so great. And, don't worry, there are *still* days that I cry and am an emotional wreck and my boys are 4 and 2. Momming isn't for the faint of heart, that's for sure!

I want to dig into Jack Ryan too just because I love John K.
So what is Book Club on? Netflix? Something else? I wanted to catch that when it was in the theater – but who has time for a theater anymore πŸ™‚

I really want to see Jack Ryan – it sounds right up my alley! So glad that your first week alone was a success, even with some 'tougher' times. I am sure no matter the hard days they make the sweetest memories. And you know I loveeeee the LV bag. Gary did SO good!

I loved Book Club so much! I went with my grandmother, momma, aunt, and cousin to see it and we all had the best time! I love Diane Keaton so much. She's one of my favorite actresses ever. I need to buy it so I can watch it all the time.

H&M definitely has the best selection of high street maternity here too – you have some great pics there, and I love the convertible cardigan. I'd love to watch Jack Ryan but I sickened myself so much with my Terrorism Studies I can't watch anything like that anymore, boo. Hey you are doing well with just the one hormonal day! It is soooo exhausting – but you always get those moments that makes it all sooo worthwhile. J xx
