My Favorite Kitchen Gadgets

The kitchen is one of my happy places at home. I absolutely love cooking, which wasn’t always the case, especially when I didn’t even know what boiling water looked like, but that’s a story for another day! I’m all about gadgets that make cooking more efficient and fun! Here are a few in our kitchen!

  • Apple Peeler || For anyone that loves making apple pies, this is the gadget for you. My sister makes the most incredible apple pies and along with her secret ingredient spices, this makes the process of peeling and cutting them so much easier! She knows how much I love apple pies and trying to bake them, so she bought me one too!
  • KitchenAid Hand Held Mixer || I would love to have the big KitchenAid mixer, but it just takes up too much real estate in the kitchen. This hand held one does everything that you’d need with the bonus of being super easy to clean and store!
  • Foldable Kitchen Funnel || We have really pretty bottles where we store our oil & vinegar. When we buy them from the store we use these nifty funnels and don’t have to worry about anything spilling. It’s dishwasher safe and doesn’t take up a lot of room – no brainer of a kitchen gadget for us to have!
  • Citrus Juicer || I really love this juicer for two reasons. The first is that using the handheld squeezer I found that the juice got everywhere and I didn’t get everything I could out of the lemon / lime. The other reason I love this particular juicer is that it has a measuring cup included so it makes cooking / baking a breeze in terms of measuring!
  • Garlic Peeler & Press || I’m not that big of a fan of garlic. I don’t like handling it because the smell never seems to leave my fingers and finely chopping or grating it is one of my most difficult tasks! When we started using the silicone peeler and rocker, I didn’t mind adding a little garlic to almost every recipe!
  • All Clad Slow Cooker || I can’t even begin to describe my love for our slow cooker. We use it weekly and I feel like it’s one of the best ones I’ve ever had. It’s so easy to clean because it’s stainless steel on the outside and ceramic on the inside. It can also hold a ton of food. I think we can all agree that slow cookers simplify our lives in the best possible way – less time cooking and more time eating!
  • Supoon || Our most recent purchase is this nifty little “supoon.” It’s basically a little tool that helps you scrape those hard to reach places in cans and jars to get every last little bit of food out!
  • Avocado Slicer || The one part of cutting up an avocado that always gives me a hard time is getting the pit out. I would scoop around it until I could get it out and inevitably would take half the avocado with the pit. Now there is no piece of the avocado left behind!

What are some of your favorite gadgets for cooking?

That suppon is such a good idea, totally need one! I've bought a few gadgets that you've recommended in the past and always love them. Can't live without my crockpot and handmixer too!

My mom is the QUEEN of kitchen gadgets and is always finding fun ones to give to me. I'm the same about garlic and don't even bother with fresh anymore. I just buy the frozen cubes. #lazy But did you know if you rub your hands on stainless steel (like your sink maybe) it removes the garlic odor. #crazybuttrue

Oh I am so checking out the Supoon! And I really think I need to replace our funnels with the colapseable ones..those would be so much easier to store! We have the pampered chef garlic press and it is one of my most use tools ever.

You are speaking my love language here! I love kitchen gadgets! Those collapsible funnels look awesome! I will say, I used to have that avocado cutter and it still wouldn't get the pit out for me. Maybe it was user error, haha!

I LOVE to cook and bake, even more so now that I kids because I like to know every single thing that's going into their mouth, haha! I'm THAT mom. That said, I love practical appliances and tools that make life easier and save time and aggravation. I can't tell you the amount of times I've cut and burned myself recently doing things that would've been made easier had I owned tools like these that do more. I'll have to get that garlic smasher and that citrus juicer, too! Thanks for sharing, girlie, and I hope you're having a great week so far!

I have the KitchenAid hand held mixer too! I wouldn't use the big one enough to justify the price and… no room! That garlic press is genius!!!

Okay, I'm ordering that garlic press rocker and fancy spoon ASAP. There's nothing worse than not being able to get every last bit out of those small cans!

That garlic press is cool! I've never seen one like that. I'm terrible at mincing it, too. I'm going to have to check out the collapsible funnels. My biggest frustration about funnels is that they are difficult to store, so that definitely solves all the problems.

I dont even want to think about a life with no slow cooker! I have the big kitchenaid mixer, and I love it love it love it. HOWEVER. I still find myself using my handheld more, because it is just easier lol. So save the real estate space!
