Fourth of July Inspiration

How is it that we're already more than halfway through the year & getting ready to celebrate the Fourth of July!? I had a conversation with a friend the day and we both agreed that after college, time just decides to fly at warped speed - kids or not!  Unfortunately I have to work on both the 3rd and 5th, but they should be relatively easy and short days! We have some fun plans for the 4th and the weekend so I wanted to share some 4th of July inspiration - from clothes to entertaining! What I love most about the red, white & blue attire is that it really works all summer long!
Fourth of July, what to wear for the 4th, home decor for the fourth of july

Punch up any outfit with these fun accessories
Heart Earrings || Woven Bag || Sunglasses ||  Gingham Tie Back Hat

I'm definitely one of those people that would much rather play it safe with their wardrobe and then add a pop of color through my accessories to take a look to the next level.

Wear now & later
Graphic T-Shirt || Scalloped Shorts || Flared Sleeve Pullover ||  Red Romper

As much as these pieces are Fourth of July appropriate, they can be worn throughout the summer. In New England you never know what kind of weather you're going to get, especially in the evening so the ruffled pullover is perfect addition!

Decorative flair to your festivities
Napkin Rings || Anchor Cloth Napkins || Decorative Pillow

I appreciate any little touches that are added for holidays, but prefer decor that isn't too in your face with flags & stripes.

What's on your agenda for the Fourth?

  19. So many cute options! I love the idea of buying items that work well for specific events, but can also be worn just on normal days. I think that's a really smart idea for making the most out of your wardrobe and reducing your clothing waste. Awesome post, thanks for sharing!
