Holiday Rewind

Hello and Happy New Year, friends!! Unintentional, but much needed blogging break over these last couple weeks and I am so excited for the start of a new year! Before starting with fresh content, I wanted to do a bit of a holiday rewind and recap because the last week has been a lot of fun!

We were so excited to wake up and have Christmas morning at our house. Sophia didn’t get what was going on quite yet, but she knew that she got some new toys to play with and was enchanted with everything that was left for her.

 Looking less than thrilled here!

After a slow morning, we headed to my sister’s house for a late Christmas lunch. The kids all gifted Sophia little gifts, which is just the sweetest thing ever. She had a blast playing with all the cousins and of course, little Ziggy! She also had her best night sleep ever which was the GREATEST present ever!

Gary and I had the rest of the week off and luckily Sophia’s daycare was open, so we dropped her off on Thursday and Friday to get a lot of stuff done and checked off our list! We picked up a new tree since ours was on it’s last leg after 9 solid years, had lunch with our friends, worked out, binged on “You” and tried to make up for all the food we stuffed ourselves with by eating salads!

We had a quick trip over the weekend to see Gary’s parents and do Christmas with them – Sophia was living her best life opening boxes!

Our friends were having a 20’s themed NYE party – with champagne bottle sabers & all the speak easy vibes of that era and we were so grateful that my parents took Sophia for the night. Actually, she was with them for a few nights which gave us a much needed rest and refresh – really feeling like we started the year in the best way. I bought my dress from Amazon and it could not have been more perfect and comfortable.

On New Year’s Day we headed to my parents house to celebrate and pick up our sweet girl! It was such a wonderful start to the year and I hope the rest follows suit!

I really felt like this holiday season was a nice mix of family, relaxing and getting to enjoy quality time with Gary. We went to the movies, watched shows together and actually had dinners sitting down! I am so grateful for the support we get from my family and I honestly don’t think I’d be half as put together or “with it” if it wasn’t for them! How did you spend your holiday?

So much fun! Love the awe in Sophia's eyes throughout Christmas, and of course your gorgeous curls! And day dates when day care is open, and you're off from work are the BEST <3
