Friday Favorites

What a week! It’s been all sorts of wacky with how the world is reacting to coronavirus – not only for my job, but also with upcoming travel we had planned. Unless something miraculous happens in the next two weeks, we decided that we are going to postpone our trip to Portugal that we were supposed to take at the end of this month to later this year. While it’s been really hectic getting everything squared away with that, we really couldn’t risk coming back and possibly being quarantined which means being away from Sophia for 2 weeks. I am not scared to travel at all, but that alone was enough to dissuade me from making this trip happen right now. Regardless, gives us something to look forward to later this year! Anyway, with all that here, are a few favorites to highlight from the week!

Spring-like temps
|| Gary and I met up for an impromptu lunch on Tuesday because we had seriously beautiful weather! We haven’t done this since he worked downtown, so it was a nice treat!

Laura Mericer Caviar Shadow Stick
|| I’m jumping back on the shadow stick bandwagon and trying out some new colors from the Laura Mercier line! I had forgotten how easy it is to apply using the shadow sticks and the durability, pigmentation and longevity of the colors is really unmatched by regular eye shadows. The color I’m using right now is “nude rose.”

New in the neighborhood || One of my favorite coffee shops opened near us and I know that we will be spending  a lot of time here! I have a work from home day on Monday and I know where I’ll be posted up!

Watching, Buying & Reading ||

  • These platform sandals that I can’t wait to wear
  • This black bathing suit that is extremely flattering and perfect for swim class with Sophia
  • A water play kitchen for Sophia – girl loves to make a mess!
  • Finished “Love is Blind” on Netflix with the reunion special – this hot mess of a show was too good not to watch
  • The most glam baby shower
  • Theultimate dining table for small spaces – watch the video, you’ll be wowed
  • Will be watching this Netflix original movie this weekend – set in Boston!

Have a wonderful and safe weekend friends!

I bought a Laura Mercier Caviar Shadow Stick and love it. It makes life a little simpler in the morning trying to get out the door because it's super easy to apply.

Iโ€™m so sorry you have to postpone your trip. I am flying week after next but within the US, I would do the same thing for overseas just Becca use of sweet Sophia and being quarantined. That baby shower looked divine with all the lavender and pink. Love the sweet lil play kitchen. Happy Weekend lovely!

That coffee shop sounds fabulous! I need to check out the new colors in the shadow stick. Iโ€™ve been doing a neutral for months and months and Iโ€™m ready for some pink or purple again. Have a great weekend!

A lunch date — how fun! I'm with you on the travel. The traveling itself wouldn't worry me, but the whole quarantined thing when you have kids is no joke. It sounds like you came up with a good plan! "Hot mess of a show" — LOL, perfectly described. Thanks for the Netflix movie rec! Will put that on our list for this weekend!

We have been loving the weather and are looking forward to next week when it should be even nicer. Sorry about your trip. It is crazy everything thatโ€™s going on. I live shadow sticks and will need to check those out. Hope you have a great weekend!

It's a shame you had to postpone your trip but I agree, I wouldn't want to be away from my kids with all the craziness going on in the world right now ๐Ÿ™‚ We don't have any upcoming trips but family do so we will see how that plays out – we will be staying here and hopefully safe from any virus so we are able to drop off essentials if they are quarantined when they return – I :traded" my in laws some hand sanitiser for some rice the other day, so funny! I had an extra bottle of hand sanitiser and they hadn't been able to buy any being overseas and coming back when it was sold out! And then a few days later I couldn't find rice at the store but they had some to give me, haha! Such a weird world at the moment!

Hope that you are having a wonderful weekend ๐Ÿ™‚ We had a date night last night which was awesome ๐Ÿ™‚ Even if the city was a little quieter than usual!
