Boy Nursery Mood Board

Happy Monday, friends!! Hope you had a great weekend! As I enter my 3rd trimester, I’m admittedly a little nervous that the nursery has become the dumping ground for extra stuff that doesn’t have a home yet and won’t be transformed fast enough! The good news is we have all the big pieces of furniture and it will get done, but if it doesn’t that’s fine because he’ll be sleeping in our room to start anyway! I was scouring Pinterest for nursery themes and since the room is already painted a perfect blue, we just have some accents to add in.

I have loved these baby animal prints since I was pregnant with Sophia, but wanted a more girly nursery for her, so I’m excited to have these printed and framed in they nursery. We’ll be reusing the Ikea Hemmnes dresser that we used in Sophia’s nursery since she has a new bedroom set and also her crib once we transition her to the big girl bed! What I love about Ikea pieces is that with minimal effort like changing out the knobs, you get a completely new look and finish! I originally wanted to buy these drawer pulls, but they had a crazy shipping price and too long of a delivery time, so I opted for these adorable ones from Amazon.

I absolutely love the glider that we used in Sophia’s room and it’s a good thing too because it’s being used again! I have spent so many hours rocking, feeding and reading in that chair, I’m glad to see that it has held up so well over three years! Since we’re going to be repurposing so many of the bigger furniture pieces, I do want to give the nursery some new touches. I love this acrylic set for diapers, creams and burp cloths. Even though the hamper is going to be in the closet, I still like this little animal themed one!

I would love to add a few bold colors to the room as well for pops of color and this side table is a perfect touch. We also have the mirror from Sophia’s old room, but it’s a little girly so I’m thinking of spray painting it yellow or getting a new one.

I’m so excited to see it all come together and sometimes these rooms are just as much for the parents as for the baby’s because of the amount of time spent in them!!

Cute pics! I worried that decorating a boy’s nursery wouldn’t be as fun as a girls, but I loved it!

LOVE that color palette, and can’t wait to see it all come together! We still love our glider in Serena’s room too, and are impressed with how well it’s held up. We still use it for bedtime stories and prayers, and anytime she wakes up at night and needs to be rocked a bit before going back down <3

I bet it’s so helpful that you’re able to reuse most of the bigger furniture pieces! This will be the cutest baby boy nursery when you’re finished! xx

They make such cute boy things now. When our first grandson was born, I wasn’t impressed. They’re stepping up the boy style a LOT
