Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! This was a doozy of a week – we had so much going on and honestly there were points where I couldn’t believe how slowly it was dragging, but we made it to the weekend!

Monday was a big day for Sophia – she started preschool! I don’t know how it is in other states, but here in Massachusetts kids start pre-school at 2.9 years old and it’s basically daycare, but with more of a structured schedule. We’re easing her into it with 3 days a week at a half day to start and she’ll go full time later this year! Her first week was a success and I’m so grateful that this was relatively easy on all of us.

We also had our new master closet installed on Monday and even though we are waiting on one final piece – glass doors for the main section in the middle, we love how it turned out. I feel like I don’t have enough stuff to actually fill my side of the closet, which is a nice change! I have purged so much between the move and I was really selective in what I was keeping clothes / shoes & bag wise when putting everything back. I’m looking forward to postpartum and really streamlining my clothing with more neutral pieces! Once it’s completed, I’ll share everything, including who we used and the process.

I got the most thoughtful delivery and gift – literally hand delivered to my door from a new to me company called Good Filling here in the Boston area. The company’s mission is to help reduce waste and help the planet through sustainable practices of reusing and refilling our containers and products. They believe the future is in refilling, not just recycling! In the reusable produce bag they gifted me:

  • A refillable bottle of multi-purpose surface spray by our friends at Puracy
  • A Good Filling Swedish dishcloth – reusable
  • A refillable bottle of lavender & vanilla hand soap from Puracy
  • A refillable bottle of citrus & sea salt hand sanitizer from Puracy

So far, I’ve used the multi-purpose spray which is free of harmful ingredients and is plant based. Not to mention every bottle sold supports charity, artists and conservation, which is incredible!

A few random things:

  • If you’re on the hunt for a new show, I highly recommend My Unorthodox Life on Netflix! It’s Reality TV at it’s finest!
  • I have had the hardest time finding a good book recently – but just downloaded Happy and you Know it and excited to dive in! It says to be a cross between Sex & the City and Nanny Diaries!
  • I cannot stop using this Tarte Cheeky Claymate face palette. It has a bronzer, blush and highlight all in one and stays on ALL day! Literally have used it for the last month every day!
  • Bought Sophia this dress for her birthday party – I think you can guess the them

We are going to be celebrating my niece turning 16 this weekend and have some family coming in town! Cant wait to host and enjoy hopefully some nice weather, which has been nonexistent this July! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

I cannot believe that Sophia is already starting preschool! It truly seems like she was just born. My gosh, time flies! And girl, your closet is GOALS. I need someone to come in and install some fancy shelves and drawers for me. Please do give us a tour once you have everything put away!
