Colder Weather Beauty Swaps

Happy Wednesday, friends! We are slowly transitioning to fall weather here in New England and when I mean slowly, I mean we went apple picking this past weekend and I was expecting it to be cooler but it was in the high 70s and then the following day we went to the beach – so there’s that! But when that weather change happens it’s quick and this year I am really wanting to take care of my skin and make sure I change out skincare for the season specific products that it will need! I wanted to share some of the beauty swaps that I will be making.

Let’s start with hydration! I love serums and hydration mists. The dewy finish that your skin is left with feels so refreshing!

Starting with my newest duo! The Hydrate & Refresh face mist is never far from my reach! It honestly smells like I’m taking a vacation, which in these times we could all use! You can use the hydration mist on its own or as a setting spray for an extra dewy finish for your makeup. Just FYI it’s not meant to extend the life of your makeup, but gives it a healthy glow.

The Hydration Booster is a hyaluronic serum which gives your skin a youthful appearance. I use it in the morning as part of my routine and extend it through to the neck. That way my skin is feeling very hydrating for the next 8 hours. We lose moisture in our skin throughout the day so this helps replenish the natural moisture. I use it at night too right before my Vitamin C Serum.

I try to limit the amount of dry shampoo that I use mostly because I don’t want a ton of buildup in my hair and I’ve also trained it to not need dry shampoo! Now instead, I opt for a hydrating mask once or twice a week to give my hair, especially my ends some love! I know that hair masks are daunting because they take time, but I use the In Shower Advanced Hydrating Masque and it really takes my hair to the next level, not to mention it is so silky smooth after! Some of the benefits:

*Helps transform brittle hair into shiny strands
*Prevents breakage and fights dryness and frizz with antioxidants
*Provides fast-acting deep conditioning treatment
*Nourishes the hair in less than five minutes

Even though the moisturizer I use says lightweight, it provides a ton of hydration and helps my skin glow. The best part is it can be used day or night, but at night I really lather it on and it melts right into my skin without weighing it down or being greasy.

* Nourishes and moisturizes skin
* Provides all day hydration
* Skin looks radiant and feels calm, smooth, and soft
* Minimizes wrinkles, fine lines, and lack of elasticity
* Ideal for Dry and Sensitive Skin

Summer Friday’s renewed their lip balm and it is so good! Comes in Vanilla and Vanilla Beige, but there isn’t a color tint to it. Just an easier application process from their previous version. I use this every morning and night and my lips have not been chapped in forever. Even during pregnancy when your lips can get really chapped, this is not the case using this lip balm.

Do you switch up your routine with different seasons. If you are interested in any of the above products, let me know! I would love to share more about the difference it has made in my skin and hair!

    I have really dry skin so I don’t necessarily change my routine but I do always look for products that can help with this. As for lip balm, I have tried Summer Fridays and they are awesome! I hope your week is going well so far and happy Wednesday!

    I don’t really change up my products for colder weather. That lip balm does sound promising though.

    I have a pretty simple routine for my skin but I agree even with that I need more moisturising products in winter! I like to use a lot of sleep masks for hydration when it’s really cold 🙂

    Hope you had a great weekend 🙂 We had so much fun at the Lego exhibition at the museum yesterday.
