8 Favorites from January

Happy Monday, friends! We are digging ourselves out of the crazy snowstorm from this weekend and it’s just about this time I am ready for a warm weather vacation! January felt super long but it flew by at the same time and I am back to work (albeit from home) later this week! Before February starts – here are a few favorites from January!

  1. Fitness: I started playing tennis again this month! It has been a goal of mine for years to get back into it and I finally decided to just do it! I found a club nearby, called & was having a hitting session shortly after! As much as I would like to play on a team, I just don’t have the time to dedicate every single week! I do plan on making it at least a monthly hitting session and maybe as the year goes on, I will be able to play more. I do need to get the right shoes, but I bought this super cute skirt!
  2. Watching: There are so many great shows on right now! I have been loving The Cleaning Lady (Fox), How I Met Your Father (Hulu) and Promiseland (ABC) just premiered but the first episode is good. We also started AfterParty (Apple+) and it’s hilarious!
  3. Eating: I have been trying to make a new to us recipe every week because after more than 2 years of mostly eating at home, our dinners were getting redundant. I made this shrimp alfredo recipe and it was so good I’m making it again this week!
  4. Buying: I won’t share the Amazon purchases until next week, but I did buy a super cute coffee glass, a new belt bag that is exactly what I needed for quick errands when I don’t want to take my entire purse & some new makeup products. This PJ set is cute, but I’ve only worn the top so far. I also got a set of gold candlesticks from H&M to dress up our mantle.
    • NYX Primer: Obsessed with this primer and it smells like heaven! Goes on smooth and not oily at all.
    • Maybelline Perfector: This is a great light coverage foundation, but I would say more like a BB Cream with concealer mixed in. I like to use this on light makeup days when I want some coverage and love the applicator sponge that it comes with.
    • NYX Concealer: I wish I would have gotten a lighter color, but it does the trick and I could use it as a foundation in a pinch if I needed to. Right now I mix it in with the Becca under eye brightener which looks really nice.
    • NYX Long Lasting Lipstick: This boasts 16 hours of wear without any transfer! It’s still on its way to me, so I will let you know how I like it!
    • Bright Set – the Ordinary: This is my first time getting skincare products from the Ordinary and I love the cost, love the feel and love how it feels on my skin. I have been using this set for about 3 weeks and definitely see a great difference in my skin with the vitamin c serum.
  5. Nails: I am still rocking all the press on nails and my latest set from Static may be one my favorites! It’s an ombre french set – I am obsessed! I also went down a rabbit hole on TikTok of how to do your own at home gel nails without acrylic and I have everything in my cart to make that my next DIY! The entire lineup of products costs less than a full set of dip nails!
  6. TikTok: I am fully entranced in TikTok now and have found so many great tricks, hacks and just all around fun things on there. I have started posted a few of my reels, but still trying to figure things out! If you are on it – let me know. My page is here!
  7. Snow much fun: We ended the month the same way it started – with a snow storm!! This last one gave us about 2 feet of snow, but the day after is always the best – so pretty!
  8. Mason turned 4 months old and I cant even tell you where the time has gone! He is an absolute dream and I can never give him enough kisses! Sophia adores him and I love seeing how their interactions changes and grows month to month!

Hope the week ahead treats you well, friends!

Just followed you on TikTok! I signed up a couple months ago to get better at reels and now I’m having fun over there, I like it so much better than Instagram, there’s no pressure, lol! So many sweet favorites. I love watching your stories and seeing what the kiddos are up to!

So many great favorites this month! I love trying a new recipe every week because I get sick of eating the same thing. It’s fun to find new favorites to add to our regular rotation. I’ve resisted making a TikTok because Instagram already sucks up way too much of my time, but I know so many friends who prefer even it more than Instagram!

I have been loving the home stuff from H&M and Zara lately! Those candlesticks are cute, I have the black ones in my cart but just haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

Your photos are all soo good! Are they from your phone?! I have one of the nail sets in my Target cart after your other post about them– still a little nervous to try, lol. We have been in a major meal rut too & definitely miss eating out more often!
