Beach Vacation Packing List

We are set to go on our first vacation in almost two years in a few weeks and I am cautiously optimistic that it will happen! We decided on the Bahamas for a couple of reasons – one of which is that we are in the dead of winter and ready for a little warmth and sunshine, the other is that it’s a direct flight from Boston and with two kids, one of whom is a very active toddler, we needed that! Since I was pregnant last summer, I haven’t really purchased any new warm weather clothes, so I have been buying a few things here and there to get me resort ready! Here are a few things in my suitcase!

Canvas Tote || Probably one of my most thought about things to bring is under the bag category! I want a tote that will fit all my stuff, the kids stuff and also be good enough for the beach/pool not to get ruined. Gary got me this tote from Lily & Bean for Christmas and I absolutely love it!! It’s so roomy and perfect for every day but also travel. It’s also much easier to wear than my Louis Vuitton Never Full which digs into your shoulders when it gets weighed down with things.

Cutout Bathing Suit || Let me just say, this is one bathing suit that everyone should get! It is beyond flattering, the “ladies” are kept in nice and strong and it’s very forgiving! As someone that had a baby 4 months ago, I put this on and was so happy with how it looked. Full coverage on the bottom and the cutouts give you a little va-va voom!

Ruffle Shoulder Bathing Suit || This bathing suit from Target is a complete 180 from the one above and I actually don’t have anything like it! I think it’s a nice little suit to wear to the pool and the ruffles add a little something. Gives off some Love Shack Fancy vibes without the price tag! Looks like it offers really great coverage as well.

Utility Shorts || I absolutely adore these shorts from Amazon They are such a great length and can be dressed up or down. I think bringing a few different pairs of tops to go along with it and I am set with a few outfits.

Jelly Flat Sandals || My sister bought me these Valentino Rock Stud Sandals for my birthday last year and needless to say I have been itching to wear them! I love that these are jelly because I can wear them to the pool and the beach but also dress them up with my outfits at night. One pair of shoes that works triple duty – yes please!

Coverup Dress || You may be sensing a theme here, but everything I’m packing I would love to work multiple ways because I have to bring so much stuff for the kids! This Tommy Bahama Tiered dress works for the pool and for lunch! Also change out the sandals to a low heel and you are set for dinner!

Braided Sandals || How cute are these sandals!? Easy enough to throw on for a nicer dinner, but easy enough to kick off if I need to run after a rambunctious toddler!

Denim Jacket || A pink denim jacket?! Sign me up! I think this is the perfect pop of color to a basic outfit!

Blue & White Vici Dress || I am obsessed with this dress – fun, flirty and perfect for the beach! I also love the longer sleeves for possibly chillier nights.

Supergoop Sunscreen || My favorite sunscreen and I wear it under my moisturizer every day even in the winter! Gives your skin just enough little glow.

Baseball Hat || As much as I would love to bring a fabulous wide brimmed hat, there is no space! I love baseball hats and even more so when it has a cute saying like Tacos & Tequila or Brunch Vibes!

I love the bag! I’m so excited for you. We still have not flown well at least I have it, Mr. Nine flies in private plane for business but I still have not been on an airplane in 2 years. We have done our Michigan beach family vacation but I need an actual fly to beach vacation, lol!

So exciting! I have only been to the Bahamas for spring break in college haha. I love those two dresses and those braided sandals. Oh, and that tote bag! Nice work Gary! 🙂 Anyway! We have only flown three times during this whole pandemic and our longest flight was to Maui. I was nervous all three times but it was fine. Have a great day my friend! XO, Caroline

YAY for vacation! We went to the Bahamas last year as our first trip since the virus hit, and it was the perfect spot! That cutout suit is fab, and I can’t wait to hear all about your trip <3
