Home Office Refresh

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you had a nice holiday with whatever you celebrated! We had a full weekend with Passover at my parents house, an early Easter celebration with Gary’s parents and then a lazy day at home with egg hunts and playing with new toys! Now that I have a new job which is remote 95% of the time, we decided to create a very small office space in our bedroom. We typically work from the dining room, but since Gary is also remote so much of the time and we are both on call most of the day, separate spaces were needed. I wanted to share everything I have bought for the new space and hopefully a few pieces coming in the next couple of weeks.

First up was finding the right desk. I wanted something that was large enough to work / write at, but not too big that it was clear it was out of place in our bedroom. I decided to get rid of my night stand and use this as both. It’s slightly taller than the night stand and just a bit longer, but it’s not an eye sore. Funny enough when I asked my mom what she thought of the desk she said she didn’t see it – which means it really does match the furniture nicely! The desk looks very similar to what our night stands looked like and I love the X look.

I decided where I would add a little color and personality would be with the chair. The room itself has a lot of grey and beige / cream, so I wanted a soft pink for some color. I’m leaning towards this one – looks chic to me!

As far as the other little bits and bobs, I ordered this desk mat in a blush to protect the desk from scratches and water damage. These drawer organizers have really come in handy for pens and office supplies. I ordered a new mouse and still deciding what monitor I’ll be getting, but I did get this riser for it.

I had pictures on my night stand so I wanted a few on the desk as well & I am currently on the hunt for a smaller lamp. I have loved using this 3in1 charging station for a few years and it is the perfect thing to have on your desk or night stand!

SHOP THE POST

Really looking forward to a lot of productive things happening in this space!

I can’t wait to move and have my own office! I want something similar to that chair for my office. That’s so nice your new job is remote 95% of the time, congrats! We’ve moved to a hybrid schedule and go in two days a week.
