Happy Wednesday, friends! Mason is 14 months old today – little guy has matured from sweet, little baby to a very rambunctious and eager toddler. I am pretty sure that he has gotten more bumps in the past 14 months than Sophia has in her 4.5 years!

I’ve been on a great reading streak recently, which makes my total so far this year 27 books. I’m also not counting books that I started but could not get into, which were plentiful as well! These three are all worth the read or listen!

Book Lovers || I had just finished reading Beach Read by Emily Henry when this book became available from the library. Of the two, I enjoyed Beach Read more. I wasn’t a huge fan of the main character, Nora. Definitely felt like reading a Hallmark movie and I give the author credit for realizing what she was writing was exactly like that. When Nora’s sister convinces her to visit for an extended stay the location of one of her author’s most famous books, the last person she expects to run into is Charles, a brooding editor from back in New York. It’s not hard to see where this goes and I don’t mind those kinds of books at all! It was pleasant enough!

The It Girl || It had been a while since I read a good thriller and The It Girl delivered! I was hooked and honestly so impressed with the writing. When Hannah met April at Oxford she was immediately taken by her. April had looks, money, brains, pretty much everything, but she also had a wicked sense of humor and liked to play games with people which caused her to have some enemies. When April ends up murdered, the police think it’s an open and shut case according to Hannah’s testimony. What it really ends up being is so much more twisted and confusing. I truly didn’t know what was going to happen until the very end. It was a fantastic read!

The End of Her || I lucked out and found this book at a free library in Starbucks. Once I started reading, I couldn’t put it down. The writing was actually pretty stunted in my opinion and lacked a bit of word-smitthing, but maybe that’s the reason I was able to finish it in just 2 days. Stephanie and Patrick are trying to settle into their new normal with newborn twins when a blast from Patrick’s past comes to wreck havoc on his life. I was really impressed with how the author intertwined every single character in the book. I was hooked and up until the end I didn’t know who to believe. When someone has a lot of enemies, the list of suspects is long! I would absolutely read this again!

I love Emily Henry, so Book Lovers was one of my favorites for the year. The other two I am adding to my list! I have read books from both authors, but not these two!

I haven’t read any of these and am adding The It Girl and The End of Her to my library list! I just started reading The Most Fun We Ever Had. So far, it’s really good!

I’ve only read one Emily Henry book and I wasn’t impressed, but I’m just now starting another one, so hopefully it’ll be better! I’ll have to check this one out, too.
