Life Lately | 5 Things

Happy Monday, friends! It was beyond cold here this weekend – did not even step outside on Saturday since the weather app said it felt like -40 at one point! I’m sorry, but when it’s colder than the actual North Pole, you know something is wrong!! Here is a random mashup of things!

TV Time:

Admittedly I am anxiously awaiting the newest season of YOU that comes back to Netflix this week…I will be bingeing that in one day probably! I’ve been loving Will Trent, Alert, The Rookie, Accused, Love Island UK (this is a global treasure!) and How I Met Your Father is back on Hulu! Most of the time I watch TV and scroll on my phone, but these keep my attention! Really excited for Your Place or Mine that comes out on Netflix this Friday – it feels like the era of Rom Coms is back and I am here for it!

TikTok Challenge:

I clearly favor a side when taking photos!

I challenged myself to post a new lip combo every day of the month of January and it forced me to really look at all my lip glosses and lipsticks so I got rid of quite a few that just weren’t being used! Here are some snippets of a few of my favorite lip combos! And if you’re on TikTok – follow me!

Valentine’s Day

Sophia’s class is having a friendship party for Valentine’s Day and even though it’s not necessary in the least, I got all the kids in her class some cute little gifts. I put together mini pop-sockets, mini-squish’s & some smarties! I’m certainly not a pinterest mom, but man do I try to be!

I also found the cutest press on nails for Valentine’s Day from Olive & June!

We took the kids candlepin bowling over the weekend and it’s so fun because Sophia can actually hold the balls on her own and it’s much easier at this age than regular bowling. Even Mason was able to have his turn! Speaking of Mason, let’s just say he is my wild man at 16 months old! He is a little boy through and through – climbs every single thing, loves to get dirty and still manages to melt my heart with just one look even when I’m trying to tell him not to do something!

Loving call him, Mason the Menace!

I have been trying to limit what I buy – especially with prices rising on EVERYTHING! Here are a few things in my cart that I’m still debating and adding to my ever growing birthday wishlist!

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!

I loved your TikTok lip challenge. Speaking of that, I want to try the NYX milky gloss.

I was just talking about how I’m ready for the new season of You! Also, I’m not much of a reality show person, but I keep hearing things about Love Island UK – I might have to binge it to see the hype!

I don’t even get how people function if they have to go outside at those temps! I love rom-com’s so much! I love The Rookie and I watch The Rookie: Feds too but it doesn’t keep my interest as much as the original. When I was a day-care teacher, party days were always crazy but they also brought me so much joy too. So it was joy and chaos all in one. lol.

I hope you get some (OR all) of these items for your birthday!! 🙂

We have never watched You but I’ve heard such good things about it! I might have to watch that soon!

How adorable are your little bowlers!? I’ve been nervous to start How I Met Your Father because I am still scarred by the ending of How I Met Your Mother. Aghhhh!

That is way too cold. Ugh. I can’t wait for You and the new RomCom. I have it saved to my Netflix account.

I am so behind on reading your blog! I am so sorry my friend. Anyway! You look gorgeous in your lip gloss and lipstick challenge photos and we had that beyond freezing cold weather here last week. Love seeing your two cuties on here too. Sending you a hug too! Xox

Goodness that is cold!! I have the Dae styling cream and I absolutely love it. It really does try to hold up to the humidity down here, so that is saying something. I like that it is cleaner ingredients too, and I find myself using it on Zoe’s hair for days that she has pictures or events going on.
