Monday Musings

It's Monday already and feeling super refreshed after an extremely relaxing weekend. With the weather being - here's a shocker- bitterly cold…it was super low key and forced me to relax.

I was able to cross "take a yoga class" off my bucket list and unfortunately for me - not my cup of tea!! I thought I'd be like this…
But, my body doesn't work in that way and the minute the Yoga teacher asked the class to breathe and exhale and say "OM" I knew I was done. I stayed for the full hour - but need something more high intensity and I'm an instant gratification kind of girl!

Before the Bachelor Wedding I half heartedly watched the Grammy's red carpet. Totally get that this is the red carpet where the stars can let loose a bit with their look, but still with the pick of designers and stylists out there - the look doesn't have to be so, bad! Not many favorites here - but these ladies looked pretty!

On to the Bachelor Wedding!!

I am a girl that LOVES weddings!! I really loved every detail of planning mine - so watching how other people do it is always interesting to me. Granted, I didn't have cameras following my every move and - probably best since I had my fair share of bridezilla moments!

I'm just curious if anyone else felt a little uncomfortable while watching and they just kept going on about their lack of "sexy time" before marriage! We get it…you're waiting - wonderful, but must you share that with the world, REPEATEDLY?! And then the two most uncomfortable moments watching Sean buying lingerie followed very creepily by the constant shot of the "honeymoon suite"!!!

Mindy Weiss can do no wrong - I'm pretty sure an unlimited budget allowed for the stunning centerpieces and opulent ceremony altar and seating!! It really was a beautiful wedding and at the end of it all they are sweet & happy and that's really all the matters!! I do wish they showed the reception…Would have really loved to see how the decor looked!
The lovely couple!! People Mag had some inside Instagram photos here

And finally…with the help of my tech savvy husband - I created my first button!
If you'd like to swap buttons, let me know!! The code is on the right hand side!

And that's all for today!! Happy Monday and hope it's a wonderful week for us all!

  2. Yeah for your button!!!! He did a great job! I feel you on yoga...it's too hard to quiet my mind I need something that I feel like gave me a good workout if I'm investing an hour of my time. My mother was calling me on repeat about that wedding....she said the dress was similar :-) Glad you had a relaxing weekend!

  4. Hahahaha I HATED yoga too. I know it's supposed to de-stress, but it stressed me out so, so much. I'm a high-intensity girl, too -- I need to feel like I accomplished something. Glad I'm not alone :)

  5. You should try Barre3, it's higher intensity. I hated yoga too, but love barre. ;-)
Would you believe me if I told you I've NEVER watched the bachelor?! Crazy, I know.
You've inspired me - must make my button!! I've been procrastinating. It's time. Lets trade when I get one.
    Happy Monday beautiful!

  6. I've always loved the idea of yoga, but I just don't think it would be for me! I feel the same way about needing high intensity!

  7. Gorgeous gowns! Good for you to know that yoga wasn't for you. I've definitely felt that way before about exercising... like Crossfit!

  8. Cute button! I love yoga but I only do it at home in private! I thought Chrissy looked gorgeous at the Grammys!

  9. I am not all that big on yoga either. I tried a prenatal yoga tape when I was pretty far along with my first son and as you can imagine the positions were greatly modified to accommodate being 8-9 months pregnant and I just felt like it was a complete waste of time lol. I do love pilates though.

  11. I totally agree, it was just creepy to me seeing the continual shots of the honeymoon suite- I would be terrified that they'd still be on!!

  12. Love your button! The Bachelor wedding was seriously amazing! How cute was Sean when he started crying on their way back down the aisle?! The first hour was pretty brutal.. they definitely could have toned down the "grown sexy" thing haha

  16. Girl, I just laughed so loud when you were talking about yoga... Let me say, not my cup of tea either - I want it to be, but it's just not...

  17. I of course watched the wedding and loved it! There were tears (I'm a total mush when it comes to love) and I loved how happy they seemed. Have to agree though, the "no sex" thing was mentioned a little too much!

  18. I laughed at your yoga comment when they said “OM” Lol :) I don’t think I could do yoga either! But hey, at least you tried it! I also watched the bachelor wedding! I thought there were definitely some awkward moments beforehand! The whole grown sexy thing and the constant talk about waiting until after marriage was just a little much! Haha. I wish they would have shown more details too! Yay for your first button! I’d swap if I had one but I’m totally note tech savy ;)
