Currently Loving

I haven't done a currently loving post in quite some time and thought I'd share a few things I've discovered in the past few weeks/months!

Garnier Ultra Lift

I mentioned in my September goals that I wanted to start a better nighttime routine and also take care of my eye area a little more. This cream does both - the smell isn't overpowering and it really leaves my skin feeling clean rather than oily, which is how some other night creams left me feeling. This is more so preventative than actually reducing any wrinkles - I do have a few fine lines that have appeared in the eye area, but I'll just go with them being laugh lines!

SOBO Skincare Moisturizer

As part of the BrandBacker program I was able to try out a new anti-aging face cream. SOBO Skin Care is a new indie brand of natural skin care products. There were a few things I really enjoyed about the product. 1//The bottle made application really easy 2//It's very light and fresh with no scent 3//They use all natural ingredients. I applied it twice - once in the morning and after my shower - coupled with the Garnier Cream, my skin feels very rejuvenated! There's a code at the bottom of the post if you're interested in trying any of the SOBO products.

Dove Dry Shampoo

I have my sister to thank for this introduction. As a brunette I've had a very hard time finding a dry shampoo that doesn't leave my hair with white residue!! I absolutely love the smell and my initial reaction is a very positive and enthusiastic one! I've heard rave reviews of other dry shampoos, but have you tried this one? The amount of product you get for the price is really great!

Yogurt Pretzels

Last week I went to Trader Joe's to pick up my beloved Chocolate Covered Pretzel thins...but they were out of stock so I reached for new to me yogurt covered pretzels. These are just as addicting as the regular chocolate covered pretzel thins and hopefully the bits of yogurt adds a little something more to them, as in making them a little better for you!

The Newlywed Cookbook

My cousin and his girlfriend gifted us this cookbook in March and I'm so sad that I haven't used it more. This is changing this weekend - I've read a few recipes that I'm so excited to try and equally as excited to share with you!! Have any of you tried any recipes from this cookbook?

Gianni Bini Booties

You'll remember that booties were on my Fall Wishlist and my mom went above and beyond and went shoe shopping with me while I was in Florida. I tried on the Vince Camuto booties that I had originally wanted, but sadly the fit wasn't what I had hoped for. These booties from Dillard's were even better than the original ones I had posted!! Even though the heel is a little on the tall side - they are crazy comfortable!!

Just a few of my current favorites! What new products are you loving?

  2. Of course those are just "laugh lines", I have the same! But really, I think I need to add that to my routine, I've trained myself to wash / moisturize, but now I need to protect and be preventative with my precious skin.

And those yogurt pretzels, yes! :)

  18. Thanks for that dry shampoo tip! I've definitely tried out other brands that leave behind a residue (not fun). I don't know how Trader Joe's does it, but their snacks are always so addicting! They have me hooked on their olive oil popcorn!

  26. Super cute booties! I just recently started a nighttime routine with Philosophy's miracle worker night cream and I like it. I'm sure the Garnier one is much more affordable though.

  30. Oh I really like the sound of that night cream! Putting anything greasy on your face is one of the worst feelings ever so that sounds like a great find! And now I'm craving chocolate covered pretzels-- I used to eat them all of the time when I was younger, but I don't think I've had them in years.

  31. Dove Dry Shampoo is the BEST!! I love it! ahhh and I want those booties!

  32. I'm a total product junkie so I love posts like these. I've never tried Dove dry shampoo, though I LOVE Batiste's for the brown-hair reason — they make theirs in different colors to match any hair shade. BUT I can only find it at Ulta which is kind of a hike for me so if I can find Dove dry shampoo closer to home I might just have to give it a try!

  33. I love Dove Dry Shampoo! & now I really want to try Trader Joe's yogurt pretzels. I feel a Trader Joe's run coming soon! :)

  34. Those pretzels sound dangerous..yogurt pretzels are a weakness for me. You'll have to share any recipes you really like out of that cookbook!

  36. I have often contemplated a night time routine - maybe Ill have to give this a go! The Dove prodcuts always make my hair so heavy, but some people rave about their dry shampoo! Batiste has a brunette version too!

  46. I have to try the Dove dry shampoo! Yogurt pretzels are dangerous to have around this house because I WILL eat them. All.

  47. I saw that cookbook at Anthro and remembered you said you had it! I always thought it would be such a cute wedding gift. I've tried tons of dry shampoos but never Dove! Batiste is my fav, Not Your Mother's is good too, and I just bought a bottle of Salon Grafix that I'm liking but it's very different from the others. It doesn't leave any residue or feeling of dry shampoo in your hair which is a plus. Dry shampoo is a life savor!!
