Weekending | Casino Edition

Back at it with a fresh week and a Monday that came a little too quickly. It was a full weekend with a lot of firsts including those first unassisted steps Sophia took that we finally captured and a trip to the new casino! A little snapshot diary of the weekend's happenings below!
Saturday morning I tried the newest workout craze in Boston at 305 Fitness. A mix between dancing at your favorite club and the most intense HIIT workout. I left completely energized, sweaty & ready to go out...at 8:00 AM!

That night we were able to check out Encore, the newest addition to the city - a full fledged Vegas style casino! Walking in, you're truly transported out of Boston and into Vegas! A little shopping, lots of dining options and the biggest casino I've ever seen. The slot machines went on for what felt like forever.

We met up with some friends and ate at Mystique, the Asian Fusion restaurant that honestly left a bit to be desired and I hope it's because they are still working out all the kinks for not having been open that long. I will say the tuna rice cakes were incredible, but the Singapore Street Noodles while tasty, were way too spicy! Had to take a selfie in front of the amazing wallpaper in the bathroom! I left with exactly the same amount of money mostly because the tables were way too expensive to even play!

After a morning meeting with a bride for next year, we hit Time Out Market for some lunch. The temps dipped into the 60's and I have to say...getting me ready for Fall. Even though we're going to have a warm week ahead it did get me thinking about all the fall activities this year! My new tote is pretty perfect - $15 and comes in 43 different colors and a small scarf is also included in the purchase!
And this little lady has started walking all on her own...we're in trouble now since she's figured out the stairs & how her little legs can take her places! Wishing you a wonderful start to the week, friends!

  9. When I first saw your pictures on insta, I thought you were in Vegas! Now you just have a little taste of it at home. That workout class sounds awesome - definitely a fun way to workout without actually feeling like you are working out - more like you are just having fun!

  11. How awesome that y'all have a full fledged Vegas style casino right there at home!!!! I would love to have something like that around here. When I first saw your pictures I thought you were going to say you were at the Bellagio in Vegas! Those pictures look like they could have been taken at their conservatory! One of my favorite places!

  20. I can't get over how gorgeous those flowers are!! Love the rich, vibrant colors. Sounds like a good time and the meal looks absolutely delicious! I love the HIIT class you took! That sounds like a really fun way to get a work out in... but I bet I'd be so self conscious. I took a hip hop class in college and everyone referred to me as the tragically white ballerina in it. :-X

  23. What a fun new addition to the city. It looks beautiful inside and I'm drooling over the Asian Fusion food even though it was a little disappointing. As you said, many new restaurants need to figure out the kinks when they first open so it can leave a bad impression. I'd still love to visit whenever next I'm in Boston. Sounds like my kind of place!
