Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes! I feel very lucky to celebrate another year and even luckier that I got to spend it with my loved ones. I actually took today off as a belated birthday present and I’m looking forward to a long weekend. Also, today marks exactly one year that the pandemic started for me here in Boston! March 12th was the first day we started to work from home and it’s hard to believe we thought we’d be back in the office in just 2 short weeks, but here we are still unsure of when we’ll be returning back to the office. There is a light at the end of this tunnel and I’m so grateful for that!
I think my favorite part of celebrating birthday’s now is how excited Sophia is to give presents and cards! She wants to help with everything and the card she made is hands down the best gift I could have ever received!
I was able to sneak away for lunch with my sister and parents – which was a treat in and of it self! We haven’t had lunch the four of us in YEARS! It was BEAUTIFUL outside so we were able to enjoy the patio at Legal C Bar.
This was the year of shoes for gifts! I was really spoiled and got some great surprises…including my first pair of Valentino rock stud flats from my sister! Gary also got me the TB slides that were on my wishlist and my best friend Rachel surprised me with a very neutral (read….animal print) sneaker! There were also countless other gifts from friends and family – truly spoiled!! And now I need a serious closet & shoe clean out!
We capped off my birthday with Shake Shack – which is always a favorite and a special cake that Gary picked up! The sweetest thing is hearing Sophia sing “Happy Birthday” and of course she couldn’t wait to eat cake!
Not only was it truly a beautiful Spring day, but I feel so lucky to have been surrounded by so much love on my birthday. Wishing you all a great, safe & sun-filled weekend!

I am so glad you had a wonderful birthday!! When I was little, I was all about making cards for mom and dad!! Sophia’s card is the cutest! Your cake is beautiful, I bet it was yummy!! Happy weekend Biana, and happy belated birthday!
Oh I’m so glad you had a Happy Birthday. Mine last year at the beginning of April was in the nationwide quarantine and lockdown but it ended up being the best birthday I ever had. This year is a big one and I’m so sad there’s nothing to look forward too as my boys will be on vacation and Mr. Nine won’t take me on a trip, lol. I love that just the core4 family got to have lunch and I love that Gary and Sophia showered you with love! You deserve it!
