Pinning & Making Lately

Happy Thursday, friends! I couldn’t get it together to have a post up yesterday and my inspiration has sort of been put on pause with the upcoming move / logistics. What I have been doing is a lot of pinning and making some new recipes. Maybe you caught my reel on Instagram where I joked about not wanting to cook anymore, but that was mostly because we’ve been having the same variations for the last year. So I took to Pinterest to get some inspiration for new ideas!

I haven’t made the Buffalo Chicken Salad yet, but it’s next on my list. If you’re looking for two easy weeknight dinners, I seriously can’t recommend the one pan sheet meal enough and the 15 minute lo mein was a hit!

We’re pretty lucky in that our new house doesn’t really need any work done to it – anything done would be purely cosmetic. So with not having to undertake any renovations, we get to make updates that are pretty exciting, including a new master closet. This is actually going to be the first time Gary and I are sharing a closet, so we’ll have to plan accordingly.

Our pantry is also something that I’m already thinking of updating because right now it just has the builder wire shelves and I don’t think that utilizes the space enough. I know that I want some sort of pull out drawers that have ample storage.

I’m sure this will not be the most riveting post that you read today, but hopefully seeing some fun home design inspiration will keep you around!

Have you making anything good for dinner recently?

I’ve made that 15 minute Lo Mein! It’s pretty delicious. So excited for you and the new house! Our pantry has the wire shelves too and it’s really not practical or the best use of space.

I feel like cooking more now that its lighter later in the day so I need to find some good recipes.
THAT CLOSET. All the jealous eyes over here 🙂 So exciting to move into it & organize everything

I am constantly pouring over my cookbooks and Pinterest for new recipes. We get tired of everything so fast! It is a full time job just keeping your family fed. Sounds like you guys have some fun plans for the new house! Closets and pantries are both such important spaces, you definitely want to plan it out and do it right!

Definitely ditch the wire shelving in the pantry if you can! Ours has the wire shelving and it’s so annoying because all of the small things fall through the cracks! It’s on my list to get ours updated eventually, too! Also, aaaallll the heart eyes for that master closet! Oh my WORD! I can’t wait to see more!

I get sick of eating the same thing week to week, so I’m always looking at Pinterest for new recipes! I can’t wait to see your new house and what you do with it — such an exciting time! That closet though! 😍

I think pull-out drawers in the pantry are the best idea ever! I hope to have those someday when and if we update our kitchen. How fun to be preparing to move, Biana!!

Those closets look dreamy! I hear you on the cooking thing. I have gone down the Pinterest recipe rabbit hole a bunch of times in the last few weeks haha. However, for the past month I have challenged myself to cook something new every week. Mostly on the weekends. So far it has been successful. I was just getting tired of cooking the same things over and over again. I am looking forward to hearing more about your new home and I hope that you have a great day today! XO, Caroline

The cooking rut is real! I feel like I make the same recipes every week, so thanks for a couple of these suggestions. It’s always fun gathering home project inspiration – your closet will be such a nice upgrade!

Just pinned those recipes and cannot wait to try the lo mein! So excited to see what you do with the new house! We replaced a wire pantry at our old house with an Ikea one with pull out drawers and it was so easy and awesome! I preferred it to the Container Store 😉

Dyingggg at the huge closets – yay! Happy for you all.

So excited about your new house! I find that being in a produce club really makes me get creative for dinner. Tonight is chorizo stuffed spaghetti squash with some veggies and cheese. But mostly I just make sheet pans of late. I am so behind on posts, work has been crazy!

I am so over the moon for you! You are gonna have so much fun organizing your new home! Pull out pantry shelves are brilliant! This is actually the first time Mr. Nine and I have had separate closets and we are loving it, I don’t think we could ever go back to sharing again. Lol. I saw your one sheet pan dinner on Instagram stories and it looked delicious. I’m with you, I have suddenly hit a wall of not being able to figure out anything to cook. So frustrating!

I am always pinning all the things hoping to get to them one day. That’s great your new house doesn’t need any work. I can’t wait to see what you do with it!

The 15 minute lo mein is a favorite of ours. I need to make it again soon. So easy and so versatile.
