Summer Bucket List

Happy Wednesday, friends! The return back to “normal-ish” is happening here in New England and I’ll admit I’m still a little weary when I see that places have relaxed their procedures, but that’s the beauty of summer and being outside – you’re still able to steer clear of folks if you want to! I thought I’d share our very minimal summer bucket list and would love to hear what you have planned for the summer!

I wanted to make a list of things that I knew would be attainable for us and also fun for Sophia! Nothing ground breaking on the list here, but certainly going to visit places we’ve never been to before. There are a ton of ice cream shops, farms and stores around the area and I would love to visit as many of them as possible – maybe even make a list for other’s to visit! We started this past weekend with a trip to Richardson’s Farm. They also have mini golf, some animals and a golf range to enjoy, but it was too hot for anything other than ice cream.

The farms around us are top notch and Sophia had so much fun Strawberry picking last year, that I definitely want to do it again! Hoping to make it to a Strawberry Festival this month.

Last year when we went strawberry picking

I always love exploring new areas around us and taking little day trips! Day trips are a little easier now since Sophia can just cat nap in the car so hopefully we’ll take a few weekends to do that. We have booked our mini baby moon for July and I’m really excited because it’ll be during the week to a destination we’ve never been to and gives us the chance to explore some new stuff. We purposely booked during the week hoping less people would be there and frankly, everywhere else we looked was either sold out or had a minimum stay of 4 nights! At least this way when we’re back, we’ll be able to enjoy the precious summer weekend with Sophia too!

Gary’s gift from me for his 40th birthday was a grill and he has finally been able to use it after more than 5 months of waiting! I hope we’ll be able to not only have lots of dinners outside with grilled food, but also host our family and friends for some BBQ’s with nice weather this summer! Speaking of hosting, we are so excited to celebrate Sophia’s 3rd birthday at the house! Hopefully it’ll be an outdoor event with some friends and family! I have a couple of themes in mind, but we’ll see what Sophia opts for and then I can start planning!

This dolphin pool is currently 50% off and plenty of space for adults too! It actually fits 7 people!

Summer always goes by in a flash. I feel like we all wait for this time of year and then because of all the fun things like beach weekends, vacations and BBQs, it’s gone before we know it. Here’s hoping that we can savor this summer a little bit more and enjoy all the little moments too without waiting for all the big things. Telling myself that more than anyone else – ha! Also, it’s the last summer of just us as a trio, so making it special for Sophia is really important to me!

What’s on your Summer Bucket List?

Sounds like you guys have a fun summer planned! Love the dolphin pool! We haven’t pulled out pool out yet, mostly because there has been a chance of rain several weekends lately…but we have gotten the water table and sprinklers out several times. I cant believe that she is going to be 3 this summer. Time sure is flying! I hope you guys have a great time on your baby moon.

Sounds like the perfect summer bucket list to me! We’re also hoping to escape for some day and/or week-day trips. I’m still not ready to be around masses of people!

I want to go strawberry picking too. I can’t believe you will have a 3 year old very soon. Where are you going on your mini baby moon?

My husband just told me he wants to go strawberry picking! That ice cream with sprinkles looks so good. I always forget about sprinkles They are the best! Would it be weird to have the dolphin pool in your backyard to use if you don’t have kids?
