Holiday Gift Guide for the Littles

Happy Wednesday, friends! We definitely try not to go overboard for the holidays with Sophia especially since it feels like she gets a new toy or gift weekly since last year! We celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas, but I tell my parents to purchase for Hanukkah since our bulk presents come for Christmas. I wanted to put together a gift guide for littles – these are good for one year olds up to 4 or 5. Poor Mason wont even know what is happening so he will be very easy to please this year!

  • Funny story about this Piano! We actually purchased a xylophone for Sophia two years ago and it never came, but this piano came in its place and since then we have been holding on to it! Since we finally have the space for it, she gets to play with the piano.
  • The anywhere chair was a gift for Sophia’s first Christmas and I purchased the blue version for Mason. It is a gift that grows with them for sure.
  • A sweet baby stroller is such a great gift. We have a few, but not as luxe as this baby one!
  • I love pop up play tents because while they take up space when they are out, since they are soft and packable they are so easy to put away! Perfect for the kids into barbies! We have a pop up tunnel set and pop up castle as well!
  • We didn’t have a balance bike for Sophia but I bought one for our friends one year old and it was such a hit! I love all the colors you can get too.
  • Magna tiles – the gift that gives you hours of independent play!! Well maybe not hours but a solid half hour to 45 minutes! I actually find it very relaxing building things with Sophia as well. We have used these since she turned 15 or 16 months old.
  • I purchased this tote for Sophia for her first Christmas and did the same for Mason. You can use these for so much and I love having extra totes around.
  • If you have a little in your life that loves to help you clean, then you need this Melissa & Doug toy cleaning set. I looked it up and we got this at the start of the pandemic last year and have used it SO much! It’s completely functional and I recommend keeping it where you keep your supplies so they really feel like they are helping!
  • Most excited for this toy cash register because I actually want to play with it! I think it would be fun to teach about buying with money and also the fact that it gives you endless ways to play – store, market, boutique – etc!
  • We have gifted these puzzles a few times but surprisingly don’t have one for either of the kids – should probably change that!

Do you have any go to gifts for littles? Have you started holiday shopping yet?

Those totes are the best! I saw a pink children’s chaise lounge chair at HomeGoods the other day and I should’ve got it and saved it for hopefully a granddaughter someday, LOL!

I got the cleaning set as well, but the version I purchased is from fatbrain toys. For a small additional cost you can order these orange bags to “wrap” the gifts in! Very convenient, setting aside until Christmas!

Love the pop up tent idea, will be getting one!

So many great things here! We have a similar cash register and my little guy loves using it with his play food.

It’s SO hard not to spoil them too much. We have rewards for good behavior and waking up dry, so Serena ends up with a lot of extra stuff too. But we’ve been trying to add in things like going out for ice cream or heading somewhere fun too. We have that cleaning set too, and it’s adorable! <3

My in laws got Zoe a similar piano last year for Christmas. It is one of my least favorite things…that and the microphone my mom got her. What is up with parents getting loud crap?? LOL. But it provides fun and entertainment so I only halfway kid when I say I want to set it on fire. The pop up tents used to be a big hit around here too.

So many great ideas! My nieces loved cash registers and cleaning stuff when they were younger! I miss those days!
