Happy Monday, friends! If you follow me on Instagram then you already know that this has been a really tough month of losses for me and my family which has resulted in spending a lot of time in airports and hospitals. There is a lot to process because everything has happened in such a short period of time, but for now I am throwing myself into books and taking myself away from this reality! These four books MUST be added to your reading list!!

Without a Hitch || If a book involves a wedding planner, you can usually bet that I will be reading it! It’s been nearly a decade since Lottie graduated from college and she’s still hopelessly single and trying to make her mark in the lavish wedding planner world. When she has the opportunity to be lead planner in the new Atlanta office, Lottie does everything she can to help herself stand out which includes planning her ex-boyfriends super luxe wedding to a very well known celebrity. Along the way she befriends Griffin, a wedding photographer who doesn’t understand the need for lavish celebrations and honestly doesn’t really believe in love. She’s also in a situationship with someone she’s known since college. Overall, Lottie feels really stuck! I thought it was light and predictable, but nevertheless, the over-the-top weddings and characters made it a fun read.

Call it what you want || This is the kind of book the majority of people who have been in college can relate to and then those first few years out of college as well. Sloane starts her senior year of college with a clear head and ready finish school, move to New York City and become a writer. She meets Ethan on her first day moving back to school and they fall into the “are we” “aren’t we” dating life. The problem is that Ethan was very clear he didn’t want a relationship and couldn’t give Sloane what she wanted. The other problem, Sloane thinks she can change his mind! After the back and forth, up and downs of the situationship, Sloane finally feels like she has moved past Ethan, that is until he shows up in her apartment building because he just moved to NYC! I thought I knew where this was going, but it surprised me. I really enjoyed it!

Lease on Love || I absolutely loved this book and flew through it in exactly ONE day, which I have not done in YEARS! Sadie has been working hard and doing all the right things for a much needed promotion, but when she gets passed over for a promotion, she finds herself in need of not only a new job, but a new place to live. Enter Jack Thomas – the nerdy recluse that somehow manages to swoop in at exactly the right time. If you like slow burn romances, with a hint of character backstory and truly a story that could be a movie that you would not only love but pay to see in the theater’s then this book is for you! The perfect summer beach read!

A Love Letter to Whiskey || So..I did not know what I was in for with this book. First of all, I happened to read the 5th anniversary edition which also has “his” perspective! B locked eyes with Jamie first, but he hit it off with her best friend first. So they did what they could, became best friends. The book takes you from high school, through college and post grad. The ups and downs that come from just missed moments to moving on with life but it just not being the way you want. This book is also spicy with a capital “S” – seriously there were parts that I needed to make sure no one was around me while I was reading because it was almost too hot to handle. I found myself reading page after page waiting to see what happened with Jamie & B and whether they would ever be their true selves. The 5th anniversary edition has an additional 200+ pages from Jamie’s perspective which I did end up flying through since it felt like it rehashed what had already happened just for a different POV. It also has I think three different epilogues which was interesting. If you are into will they / wont they – romance, friends to lovers then this is the book for you, but with a lot of spice!

What are you reading now?
