Just like last month, I have a mixed bag of things I loved in July. Let's get right to them!
Hopper /Google Flights
I've been doing a lot of flight researching over the last month and trying to figure the best time to buy our tickets - enter in the Hopper app. Hopper predicts where flight prices will be - are they going to increase, stay the same or drop - the app tells you. I'm sure there are other websites that do this same thing, but once you saved a location to your "hopper" you get notification of any activity and basically don't have to remember things yourself.
I've also been using Google Flights to save all my possible itineraries. I usually prescribe to the pen and paper method of writing each option down, but now I can save flights and even share them with other's via g-mail so it makes booking that much easier! This is basically how I've shared the flight options to New Orleans with Gary and we both agree this is the easiest way we have booked travel!
Barefoot Pink Moscato Champagne
I love Barefoot wines - their price point is great and I was excited to try the mini four pack I bought from Target a few weeks ago! It didn't disappoint and I went back for more this past weekend. If you can snag yourself the mini bottles they give you about 1 1/2 glasses of champagne! I don't like super dry champagne and this one of course being a Moscato is sweeter which I loved.
So you might remember from this post that I was crushing hard on this Wander Beauty double duty stick. Well my mom is amazing and she bought it for me. I've been using the soft pink/nude glow in the mornings and it really is a great on the run item to have in your purse!
I thought I would be getting the most use out of the illuminator side, but to be honest the blush side is my favorite because I swipe it on my lips for the most perfect pink shade and it's a great blush for after work and before any events that I might be running to. It's a very light illuminator, but I have been getting a ton of use out of it because of how portable it is. I use the illuminator on all the usual suspects, but also on my brow bone for a nice reflection of color!
Megan from Strong Lash sent me the serum to test out almost two months ago. I've been using it for longer than the suggested time to see actual results. I used something very similar when I was getting married two years ago and I'm happy to say that I have noticed a slight growth in my eyelashes and there haven't been as many falling out - I'd have a few a week that sort of just came off with makeup but this really hasn't happened.
You apply the serum on a clean eye twice a day - so for me that was before I put my makeup on in the morning and after the shower at night. Some days I forgot because it wasn't built into my routine. I will say that a handful of times I got it a little too close to my lash line and it really burned my eye - didn't turn red or anything, but it was 100% uncomfortable - user error here not the actual product, but just thought I'd add that in case you use this product or a similar product you don't go way too close. I am still doing this same routine, but I have noticed that my eyelashes come up super close to my brows - which I love! Touche Eclat Blur Primer & Perfector
I was lucky enough to be part of the Influenster VoxBox for the YSL campaign and this was probably the best box I've ever gotten. The two items included were the Touche Eclat Blur Primer and the Touche Eclat Blue Perfector. I hands down loved the primer - it's amazing and really is the best primer I've used. I realize this is very pricey, but you do get what you pay for (I will be repurchasing when I'm completely done with this one) and the primer just hides all the imperfections of your face before you get ready to put your bb cream or foundation on. It doesn't let the product go into your pores and just smooths everything out. I haven't really gotten around to testing the Perfector yet because the packaging is almost too pretty to use. The few times I've used it, I've had a hard time applying it, but I'll come back next month and let you know how I liked it.
What were some of your favorites in July?
I was sent Strong Lash for review purposes - all opinions are 100% my own.
