Five Things I Loved in August

Happy Friday, friends! For some reason this week felt really long, but we made it to the weekend and I am ready for some relaxation! I wanted to share a few products and other things that I’ve been loving this month and think you might like as well.

First Aid Beauty Bump Eraser || This is definitely more than just a body scrub! I use it specifically on the back of my arms where I typically get these little tiny bumps, it’s called Keratosis Pilaris or KP and First Aid Beauty created a product specifically to target those areas. Some people get them on their cheeks, others on their legs and on the back of their arms. I use it about three times a week for the last month and my bumps are gone! Not just that, but my skin is so smooth!

Tarte Maracuja Lip Crayon|| I know that I have mentioned a ton of lip products, but I just can’t stop! I saw one of my favorite beauty bloggers, Lindsey, reviewing this lip crayon and I decided to give it a try. I bought the colors Hibiscus and Orchid. It’s smooth like butter, leaves your lips completely hydrated and the color is nice and pigmented. Doesn’t have much staying power, but I do love how hydrated my lips feel which is going to be really important here in a few months!

Steel Straws with silicone tips || I don’t think I have had a hot coffee in over three months and when I found these straws it was a game changer. I don’t know if it’s psychological, but I find that I actually finish my coffee when I drink it out of a straw versus not using one!

Podcasts || Admittedly, I am not that big on podcasts. I used to listen to them on my commute to work, but since that’s not happening, I’ve sort of forgotten about them. This month, I’ve been trying to listen to at least a few a week and one of the newer ones I discovered was Allie’s 6 Figure Influencer podcast. She’s really fun to listen to and has really great and actionable information for building your brand.

At this point, I’m not sure there is too much I haven’t seen on any of the streaming services that we have! We both started watching Cristina on the Coast and I actually like it much more than Flip of Flop – probably because there’s more of a design aspect to the show and it’s almost a hybrid of Christina’s life with the fun of seeing design / remodel shows. We watch it on Hulu.

I have those steel straws and use them all the time too! Perfect when you need a straw for fun drinks outside by the pool or iced coffee. I need some movie recommendations too, I’m missing the movies so much and looking for lighter, comedy types. August was a good month and I loved most of my #Nsale items that came in!

I have had those steel straws on my wish list for awhile. I should just get them. Glad you are liking them. I am a podcast lover… and I used to watch Flip or Flop but haven’t seen this new show. I want to! Have a great weekend, Biana!

This was the longest week ever – I’m glad it wasn’t just me. Love steel/reusable straws! We started using them at the beginning of the year, and I’ll never look back!

I need to get some of those steel straws. I have heard great things about them. I need to look into that Tarte product too.

I used those steel straws and was sitting on the floor with Patrick one day. He whipped that thing out so quickly and swung it around. I almost lost an eye. I am traumatized now. Just a heads up to use not around a toddler 🙂 That lotion had a big Insta push campaign so I was wondering if it actually worked. Now that you recommended it, I’m totally going to get it.

I need that bump eraser because I get on my lower legs and it’s so annoying. I’ve been exfoliating, which has helped, but I’m willing to try that product, especially since it’s clean! Also, I’m loving how chic and cute those straws are; I’ll have to check them out! Have a great week ahead, girl!
