April Through the Camera Roll

Happy Wednesday, friends! Thank you so much for all your kind words and well wishes on our announcement! I’ll do my best to make any posts a little different for this time around, but if you have any specific questions let me know and I’ll share them in a post! So, April definitely flew by in a flash and we had a really great month! We are in full on packing mode here and trying to pack at least 1-2 boxes a day, but that can be really hard because so much of what we own is used every day. Also trying to leave Sophia’s room for last so she isn’t as confused with the move.

We started the month by visiting Gary’s parents and celebrating his dad’s birthday. He has a really special bond with Sophia and they love spending time together!

Easter was very low key, but it was a beautiful day weather wise so we spent as much time outside as possible. That was also the day we took our announcement photos.

I got vaccinated in April and was so happy! I’m really grateful that my side effects were mild. I think it helped that I drank about 68 ounces of Gatorade to help stay hydrated the day of the shot and also boost my electrolytes.

We really took advantage of all the great weather and had lots of picnics. Gary and I had an impromptu day date and then lots of other picnics at different parks with Sophia. I’ve been getting a lot of wear out of this non-maternity Target dress.

Also in full fledged packing mode, but that doesn’t mean that boxes aren’t arriving every day! We’re trying to have as much shipped to the new house, but some shipping windows are pretty short, so they’re all arriving to our condo now. Sophia is enjoying playing the role of project manager and dictating where all the boxes go!

We ended the month on not the best note. My mom also had a pretty bad fall and wound up needing surgery. We are so grateful that it was a quick surgery and she was quickly at home recovering!! As much as I want to savor this last week or so that we have in our condo and around our neighborhood. That means ordering takeout from all the places we love, walking to all the parks & just walking in general! Pretty soon a car will be needed ALL the time!!

Happy May, friends!
